All bodies are dance bodies, it's lovely to see all children recieve that message towards this craft

It depends on how you define “dance”. I understand you are being inclusive and yet within the notion of inclusivity there is a possibility of oversimplification.

Omg, I remember when Rudulf Nuriyav and Mickail Baryshnikov would visit schools on their tours and LOOK for talent to send to New York. Rudi came to our ballet class at uni one day and I actually noticed who he was. I broke out in tears and apologized for being so bad. Then I ran out of class and came back 20 minutes later with five students I thought he'd like to see as our ballet mistress hadn't arrived yet. The kids got on the payphones and called all their friends who were there in literal minutes. I gave two girls my tights and leo so they would be properly dressed. 35 minutes later on the full hour, our mistress came from teaching her master class to find me in my t-shirt and underwear turning the music as Rudi went through the class to view our small town ballet students. I was so afraid I'd get caned for not asking permission (yes, you's get swotted for insubordination), but we littles were always told not to disturb master classes no matter what! Well, Rudi was very impressed and took all the boys (four) and three girls for summer intensive. When class ended, Rudy took his baton, hit it on the floor and demanded, "Why didn't you dance?!" I told him I was horrible and he said, "All you horrible dancers who didn't dance, to the bar now!" About six dancers went to the bar, as the others were too tired after 60 minutes of full scrutiny! 😂 Rudi was so wonderful, he said, "Your love of dance made many of you very caring people and not selfish like some of the dancers you hear about in the news. I want to thank you for making my job easier!" He gave us 30 minutes of time and even asked to see a tutu that we had made for Swan Lake. He offered advice for improvements. I will never forget Rudi's kindness. It's just a pity I am a horrible speller of Russian names!!!😂 That was over 40 years ago. My friends and I visited Rudi's grave in Paris a few years back. We apologized for being so late. His grave is a spectacular sight: an oriental carpet done in mosaic! Rudi never did any thing half a$$!!!😂😂😂😂 And when he had that baton in his hand, he NEVER had to cane a student! We just knew to behave!😂😂😂😂

@@melowlw8638 Hence why I said "Rudi"! I've seen a half dozen different spellings based on the language one speaks!!!🤣🤣🤣 It's all good! Again, I know I am a horrible speller and can admit it!

@theresahenderson3534 Girlfriend, it was the one time our ballet mistress didn't admonish us!!!🤣🤣🤣 My peeps and I got ALL the talented kids into the school, prepped and ready! We knew an opportunity when we saw one! What was so memorable: our mistress never said thank you or job well done! I never understood why that woman was so mean! They buried her with her baton so she could beat Satan to get into heaven!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣

Insular, literally means "like an island", meaning disconnected from the rest of the world and not very accessible from the outside.
