PARIS PLANET! Park Spotlight 84

France's largest and most exciting amusement park feature 4 themed areas with a exelirating rollercoaster in each.
Paris Planet started its life as a small resort just a few km off of paris. It was a cheap alternative for tourist who wanted a hotel for paris since it offered free transportation from the hotel to the city and back. The resort quickly became popular in the begining of the 1970s. But after the years, in the middle of the 1980s, the hotel owner dicided to build roller coasters and attractions around the area and they quickly started to be erected on the site. Just after a few years, the park introduced 3 roller coasters, only one still standing today.
The resort owners then went into retirement and sold the park to a company that specialises in amusement park. This is where the resort was brought down to allow the expension of the amusement park that now exists today in France.
The Park has 4 themed areas : Greek Planet, Dragon Planet, Appocalypse Planet and Art Planet. All with one unique roller coaster in each.

what an amazing backstory. and the ride skins and buildings are great af, but the main fountain and some of terrain details that were left off like on the dragon ride and at this park's edge caught my attention on the bad side, just not supposed to happen, otherwise this is 5 stars.

Fantastic looking park and great attention to detail. Tons of patience involved in making some highly detailed props, especially those wonderful painting recreations on Monet. But, that particular coaster is really messed up. Not only does it have some serious issues with the blocking sections (as Jonny noted), but there are a bunch of object that smash into the riders during the trip, from tree branches to posts to building supports, and the track is very jerky at times, mainly inside the building. It's said "Ah-thee-nah", Jonny. :P With that coaster, everything was great, except for the roll into the station at the end, where the car smashes into a wall on the left that is too far into the track, shown at 22:10. "Dragon De Fer" was well done, though the lift hills seem to have been set to the lowest possible speed and some of the corning might have given riders whiplash. "Chaos 98" was perfect. Not surprised the stats were solid green. True, some of the transitions were "snappy", as Jonny mentioned, but nowhere near as bad as some encountered on that other coasters. Lastly, the kid's dragon coaster decapitates the riders on the left side when it goes into the building since the wall there is too close to the track 38:36.

Fun fact: Most of the buildings and yes also the lights in the eiffel tower at night are copyrighted in real life. For example you cannot make a picture of the eiffeltower at night and just use that for commercial gains. the more you know!

Buildings, fountains, lights and paths are outstanding. I noticed there is a building at the far edge behind a forest... no idea what is that (jonny didn't fly there), but check it out in case is a misplacement from the construction phase. Other than that, the Monet coaster: my guess is that cars wait that long to avoid collisions because track crosses itself. Cool from an art/design point of view. Not so sure if is good for guests happiness and park money. Waiting to see you next creations SuperL0rtie
