I’m 29 years old and I got married when I was extremely young and we have 2 kids (still together) However, I definitely feel like I need a solo trip to understand and love myself more without being mommy or Wifey! With turning 30 soon this story was extremely inspiring ♥️ I appreciate these kinds of stories so much because young adults need to hear them, it’s a very gray area that is always missed between your late 20’ and early 30’s. I needed this Thanks Adrienne 🥰
@karentrejo17143 жыл бұрын
I know what you mean I married young and feel like I missed out on my journey in getting to know myself alone. I always followed my husbands advice or did what he said. Now that I’m 31 I see life completely different. I went on my own solo trip to Mexico last month in September. I had anxiety at first because I missed my son. He is 7. But then later felt strange. I went from living with my parents to living with my husband. So that was the first time ever to just walk around with no one to get to or nothing to do. Just like Adrianne said. That she could just walk to wherever and no have a time or place to get to with no one to give her influence on choices. It’s strange but freeing. I only went for 5 days but I’m planning to do it again, I just don’t know when. It’s definitely needed. I lost myself along time ago…. And life just passed me by. Can’t let it pass me by no more and can’t put other people before me. I have to take care of me too.

Hence the reason why adults used to say take your time. But nooo, we grown, we know better 🙄. I don’t think young people should get married before 26yrs, the male brain only fully develop at 26yrs. What’s the rush? Maybe I may treat myself to a weekend get away in the near future

In the words of Joséphine Baker: "J'ai deux amours, mon pays et Paris". It's the first place I've lived after leaving my country. Then after moving away, we'd go back to spend every xmas vacation in Paris with family and eventually studied there as an adult. The beauty that city holds is magical. You can walk for hours and it's a treat for the eyes. It'll always hold a special place in my heart. Even hearing someone speak French make my ears perk up. I absolutely understand that feeling of getting away just to think and having that head space to do that. When you're in the 'matrix', it's hard to see anything else cause your in it, live and breathe it. Once you get away, even just for a little bit, you regain perspective. I had a situation with someone and I felt torn between my heart wanting this person and my head knowing better. It wasn't until he left to visit family for just 4 days, where we didn't even call much, that I felt like i could breathe and think. It's in those 4 days I decided to side with my mind. It was the best decision because I later ended up finding the one for me, and with him it all felt right. There was no anxiety or doubt. My heart and mind were both aligned.

I’m a little jelly bc I’m 41 and haven’t felt real love in years but I have God… Keep uplifting on your channel and The Real!! ❤️❤️❤️ All you guys. 😘🙌🏽

Thank You Adrian❤️ Today would’ve been my Mom‘s 95th Birthday she passed away when she was 78 from Alzheimer’s. I just had to tell you that because I think watching your video today was a gift from her to me. I enjoyed your Paris experience so much. Im very grateful to be able to see everything you went through as you soul searched and fell in love with your unique self. And to go after what you really wanted in life. My children are grown now and i’m beginning to search myself to find my deepest desire and to basically go for it. I’m getting closer and closer every day. Even the part about the age difference with yourself and the other students touched me because sometimes I feel like I should’ve done more at a younger age.i know it’s never too late💃🏿 Your experience just lifted me like wings😍 Thank you for being so REAL and for sharing your experience.I’m a Scorpio too and I really feel where you’re coming from. Happy Birthday Young Scorpio✨🎈🥰 God Bless You & Your Family 🙏🏾❤️🙏🏾

I really, really, really love that you did not put a limit on yourself in studying abroad. I studied abroad in 2015 with my bestie. I was 21 and we went together in the summer. Actually, I studied abroad in Spain after watching you in The Cheetah Girls 2 , and decided that that’s where I wanted to study Spanish and it was the BEST decision I ever made. I got my minor after completing my study abroad program and if it wasn’t for watching you in the Cheetah Girls movie I wouldn’t have had the courage to take the step to fly across and just go for it.

I love this video! It's so refreshing to see you talk about doing something like this a bit later in life. I've lived in New Zealand and in different countries in Asia, as well as the U.S. but I've always had a fantasy to live abroad in Europe for a bit. Every time I visit Europe I don't want to leave.

I traveled to many countries in Europe when I was 22-23 by myself. Best decision of my life. I was safe, and even felt more at peace by myself over there than state side. I indulged in many cultures in Spain, France, Israel, Georgia (the country not the state lol), Italy, & Greece. I’m sure I’m missing some, but now that I’ve settled down, I truly cherish those moments. I learned so much about myself and don’t regret traveling on my own at all.

There is something valuable that comes from traveling by yourself. I did it twice, Paris, being the first place I went on my own. I spent only 6 days there and fantasized relocating there, but there was no way my entire family would follow along. There is something indescribably beautiful in the air and a sudden confidence that seems to overcome oneself traveling alone...everything is just so much more wholesome and sweeter. This memory of yours evoked that amazing feeling and memory I had when I experienced Paris. Thank you Adrienne for that trip back. xoxo

Awesome video. Travelled to Europe during high school. However in my twenties, after college, I lived in my own apartment for 5 years, which is how I learned to love 💕 myself. My family was near but living by yourself can be enlightening. I remember coming home after work and not watching TV just sitting in silence. I felt like I grew up. I got married at 30 and had children.

I love this so much, I’m 21 and still trying to build/find myself. This really resonated with me because I know that I want to travel in the near future, and a lot of people really do say how nice it is and the experience you get is great, it’s good to experience a world outside of your own too and explore the culture, love ya! 🤍

Loved what you did! Made me emotional a bit because a lot of us go so long without getting to know the true us, but once we take the time to be alone and like you, go to restaurants alone or even movies, journal etc. you realize just how great you are. It’s been a while since I’ve gone out on a date with myself, not counting the trips to run errands for the kids, and without the Hubby etc., and you’ve inspired me to make a reservation at a nice restaurant and do so. I’m so happy for you and the life you created for yourself post-Paris. You chose you! ♥️

I’m here crying 🥺 I’ve been in such a funk for over a week. Watching your video helped. It’s crazy because my sisters have recently been telling me I need time for myself but, I don’t know how. I depend on my loved ones for happiness and don’t even realize it. I do now but, it’s so hard to figure it out on my own. I have a son and this morning he was having a rough time getting up to go to school. As I’m helping him get ready I just wanted to cry because I had to find the words to get me up and going. To motivate him. ♥️Why’s it so hard to do it for myself 🥺 Thanks Adrienne 🙏🏼

Hi, my name is Althea and I was very moved by your story because I can identify alot with you. I myself have been to Paris several times, at least five times alone, and loved every minute of it. I did not have any friends at frist, but made friends along the way.I did not speak the language, but studied the basic phrases to get me around. When I got engaged in 2018 my fiance and I went there to celebrate our engagement, and that was the first time I was there with someone. It was super special because I was in the most romantic city in the world and I was with the man who I would marry. One of the best gift anyone could give themselves, is to take trip alone...there are so many things to be discovered and it would be a great experience. Thanks for sharing.

I love that you made this Adrienne. Everything stated is 💯. I took a solo trip to Thailand in 2017 as my ‘Eat Pray Love’ moment & agree, every woman should take at least 1 solo trip to find yourself. 💖

Every video you inspire , I would like to go everywhere I can’t just pick one place , but somewhere warm . Where I can wear the most beautiful outfits and show some skin , somewhere with bodies of water so when I cry I could see the water move with me too. Somewhere with beautiful landscapes but maybe a city view . I’m so indecisive but A another video has made me look at my life , focus on myself and my future . Feeling my purpose more and more

Adrienne this is so inspiring!! I had to quit collage to support my family economically and even that now I have a well pay job without having my title I felt sad for missing that "university season". Hope to have the opportunity again and do this the best experience ever with only me and God ❤️

I am in my mid 30s and I scrimp and save daily for future solo trips. I don't look forward to birthday or girls trips but enjoy my solo adventures more than anything else. Detaching from the world, enjoying good health, listening to my inner voice, expressing gratitude and so much soul searching is a good solo adventure return value.

I relate to this so much. I had the opportunity to move to London for law school when I was 35. So the story you shared in feeling old and “what am I doing here” really hit home. It was the adventure of a lifetime and I still sometimes wonder if it was all a dream
