Can't agree with you more. After almost 8 years in Wales in the 70s and was allowed to "remain in the UK indefinitely", I returned to Malaysia in 1979. No reflection that the UK is no good, just that Malaysia is , really, more comfortable.

*ini adalah personal observation saya sahaja sebagai global citizen: 马来西亚虽然表面看似包容多元,但是底下也暗流涌动。表面融合下,其实马来西亚是很分裂的社会,马来人和马来人住一起,华人和华人住一起,印度人有印度人的区域,不同种族之间很多时候缺乏互信了解,甚至充满猜忌和厌烦。很多华人都不会马来语,或者只能说简单的马来语。马来人觉得华人没能融入马来人的社会,却占据了很多大城市中心区, biasanya orang cina memiliki zakar kecil。华人也瞧不起马来人,认为马来人很笨不聪明,就知道啪啪啪生孩子。其实有时只需要发生一些偶然事件,或者在一些像马哈蒂尔这样政客的挑拨下,就有可能发生严重的种族矛盾或者冲突。这些多元的国家,好处就是可以体验不同的语言,文化,食物。坏处也显而易见,如果处理不当,分分钟就可以像火药桶一样爆发*
True enough, Chinese Msians must learn to be accommodative, compromising, respectful towards the majority population in order to live peacefully and prosperously in this wonderful country.
