I am using a trufire synapse. My dad is using a Stan prefix. They don’t make the Stan prefix anymore but they make a similar one now called the Stan onnex. Basically the same thing just a little different design.

The course give the yardage?
@ghostarchery90052 жыл бұрын
No. Everyone uses a rangefinder to get the yardage. Or some people even like to play their own game of guessing the yardage

IMO, these TAC shoots " might?" be fun? But how much is one learning is the question? Personally. 60 yards is as far as I'm shooting at live animals. Yes, I practice to 80-90 on large target bags where I'm 99% sure I won't be loosing arrows. But, like I said it might be fun???? It's hard for an old man (72) to hold still enough to hit a 3-d target at 80-90-100yards much less make an 8 ring hit.

The thing with the TAC events is you are not required to shoot at the longer distances. If you feel uncomfortable making the longer shots then there is no problem with moving up to a more comfortable distance. Plus, the scoring doesn’t matter. You can score if you want to but it’s a “fun” shoot. Meaning no one is keeping track of your “score”. If you want to score then great do that. I measure my success at these shoots by how many targets I hit and how many arrows I walk away with. The things that I have learned just from these TAC events are different shot angles, different footing and how my arrows fly in certain situations. It puts you in more “hunting” shot situations. It’s good practice for hunting scenarios. Don’t get me wrong there are the longer shots that no one would actually take in the hunting woods, but it is fun to fling one at those distances just to see what happens. They are fun and you do learn a lot, plus it his a tough hike to get through the course. So it helps with getting used to hiking in the woods come hunting season. I hope this helps!
