Hi! Do you relax your hair? I've been on a natural hair journey for the past 2 yrs, reconsidering getting a relaxer! Dominican Salons get the job done and know how to Finesse our type of hair!
@ParkeAvenue4 жыл бұрын
Hi! No, I don't relax my hair. I'm completely natural. I feel like I get the "permed" look without the chemicals and honestly, I don't feel like keeping up with it lol. Going for touch ups and those chemical scalp burns that leave scabs in my hair. I don't miss it.
@Sparkle-ey7iw3 жыл бұрын
Please don’t I did the same thing it’s not worth it now Im finally almost to the length and health I was before the relaxer...you can also heat train your hair by getting a silk press once per month its a much healthier option just deep condition each time get protein treatments regular trims keep it moisturized etc...you can get the relaxed look with heat
@bajsunshine Жыл бұрын
I know all the comments including yours is old but I agree just get a silk press once a month and maintain it ..thats what imma start doing in January 2023 since new year is approaching lol ....I was soooo tempted to go back to relaxers and then recently I read 2 articles about folks getting cancer or sick from the chemicals and that alone freaked me out especially the one where she has a law suit against a well known brand ....plus not gonna like when I did get my hair silk press I loved it so I will be doing that more and deep condition etc ...i usually do a twist out or wigs even weaves or braids (depending on what my mode is ) but now I need a break..I need my hair n scalp to breath for a chance and I think this is the best option for me ..the times that I went to the salon and got a silk press it last me a month to 6 weeks ..when my hair would try to revert or curls lagged I just took a lite oil serum n pin curl my hair or roller set..and it came out fine. And during last days b4 wash ill do a twist and Banta knot method. ..even if I do a blow out style that was my go to ..so Imma start that again cause I'm tired of wigs child lol ... Anywhoo hope your hair journey is going well .
