I see why TA said “Baat samajh aye to wo teri aqal We don’t stop and explain to any clueless sucker” I don’t want other listeners to explain him what’s poetry to him if he doesn’t want to understand. It’s cool if he likes technical rap, we as core audience as well listen to technical rap, the thing is we have just expanded to poetic rap as well and since you don’t agree that poetry and nuances gets lost in translation then ask the lyrics translation guys, whose rap is difficult to translate, anjum or krsna, infact listen to albanian rap and find one poetic bar and then translate it in English you will get what we are saying. From what i see, you have no idea of poetry, my guy(no disrespect) And i am still here for your reactions, difference in opinion but you’re one of the reaction channels i and others too respect highly

the thing is I have been watching your videos since a very long time and I agree with most of what you say the term “lyrical genius” is a broad one some rapper likes to make their lyrics more complex with multi syllable rhymes and it has its own beauty while other i.e Talha anjum can communicate the same depth of those complex lyrics in a single line that’s as lyrically genius as those other complex patterns and trust me brother there is not a single rapper in dhh that us fans related to the most cause he knows how to deliver his emotions into the hearts of the Audience

Honestly the "bars" that people go crazy for like krsna's where he does some clever word plays is kinda overrated. Talha's chooses what he has to say and fits his rhymes and bars around the things he has to say which really makes them hit harder.

I agree Anjum is not a "lyrical genius" in terms of bars and technicalities, but he's definitely a very good poetic rapper. Just last year he released like 35 songs which is way more than any other DHH artist and most of those songs were excellent in terms of poetry. He's unmatched in DHH when it comes to pouring your heart out on songs and he does it effortlessly. But, definitely, he's not a lyrical or technical genius as compared to Krsna, Raftaar or Seedhe Maut.

There's no shame to admit a person doesn't agree with the mass and for him definitely he'll never be able to admire such sentences because "urdu" is not his mother tongue like ours and I'll say that poetry doesn't mean complicated lyrics or words its just a sentence that carry a deep meaning using few words we can understand anjums poetry because urdu is our mother tongue and he can't because he's listening the song with the "BREAKDOWN SUBTITLES" Hope you get what I'm saying

11:14 Bro, it’s not your fault. There are many things in it that you might not be able to relate to. For example, he said, ‘I felt like I’m Bhutto, I don’t dead.’ This is a reference to Bhutto’s followers, who believe that Bhutto is not dead but still lives on. That line is taken from their belief. Similarly, there are many other elements in the song that might not resonate with you. And when you translate the poetry from Urdu to English, it can lose some of its depth and meaning. At first, it might seem like it doesn’t matter much, but it probably does.

About talha anjum- i understand where you are coming from and i kind of agree, but let me add a little more context here for you the people who say to you that he's a poetic rapper, most of them haven't heard enough of hiphop and also they can't articulate in english what they are feeling exactly. Anjum is not just a poetic rapper, people consider him that way because most of his mainstream hits are all love and poetic songs, earlier he was more into gangsta rap he has done different styles including, standard technical rap, ganster rap, introspective rap, poetic rap, conscious rap, diss tracks, story telling, preaching. in this particular track bandish he was not being poetic at all, it was a normal verse, so don't judge it on that criteria shayari a form of poetry is very popular culturally in our subcontinent, that is why it gets the most numbers for him, and people think he does only that type of tracks i am recommending some track from his discography if you are interested to check them out "MEIN" mixtape, his best work imo Laam se lomri- underrated diss track Falsafay ft rap demon- introspective and preachy jazbaat 2 aukaat, sabar, picture - great verses 100 bars- i'm sure you have heard it jawab-e- sikhwa- diss towards LUG rooh remix, uber- great verses class og mix - my favourite YoungStunners track top down ft shareh Next level most of them are before he got this famous,check these out for a better understanding of him as an artist.

Theres no need to argue with larry on this topic cuz we all know he would not be able to understand it ever if he doesnt speak the language... @AhmadMasood-z3g
@AhmadMasood-z3g 9 күн бұрын
One thing i want to say is that your perspective or criteria while listening to these songs is how good and/or technical the verse is while for others who know the language judge it of how relatable it is People here dont understand what a lyrical genius is yes talha anjum is the goat yes his verses are technical but he is not a rapper that people will look at and instantly say "lyrical genius" For me personally raftar,talhah yunus and epr are of that "lyrical genius" caliber

Ok Larry Lemme tells you what i think about all this. I think you are right about that Anjum doesn't have most the skills in his artillery that is essential for what you call a lyrical genius and the same can be said for Divine too. But if they say they are lyrical genius most of the masses will believe them. Because they can play with people's emotion really well with their words and people emotionally connects with what they are saying in their simple lines that most of the technical rappers can't do. P.S I think it's a very Desi thing that you being a foreigner won't understand but i really like hearing things from an outsider perspective so keep on reacting.

react on shor by talha anjum and morro you will see why he is a poetic rapper well not just poetic i think he is an allounder when it comes to rap he can make hardcre lofi trap love drill poetic u name it and he kills it so i think of him in much high place then rafftar or krsna personally where as i listen to krsna he makes most of the time hardcore and songs that are upbeat u like to dance on them if you relate to that.

@ParkedUpAnywhere bro I listen to every artist not only talha it's a thing not everyone like technicalities and triple entendre he is versatile and everyone should try different things cuz they sound monotonous in thier songs and you got offend by one line he is no 1 rappper of his country even in dhh he got more listener's then many rappers even some random rapper flex his pengame move on on that line your are abusing his fans that fuck you poetry blah blah you don't like him so don't make reaction on his songs react your fav or whom you enjoy reacting peace ✌

Shakespeare vs a battle rapper how about that 😂😂😂 A bit poetry is enough to show control on a certain language's vocab or essence and philosophical stuff. And all these poetry stuff can be mixed with it at certain limit Afterall rap is all about barrs, facts and street stuff not groove But india would take a decade to understand it
