I got this car 6 months ago now. I personally rate it 10/10. I'm very happy with my purchase. The only downside is lack of trunk space so if you're going on vacation with your family and kids that may be an issue. Accleration up to 100 km/h or less (city conditions) is very snappy especially if you stay in low gear and rev it, It will push you into the back of your seat. On the highway I managed to push to 195 km/h. When I was driving my GF and brother to the airport (more people and suitcases) you notice the rather mediocre horse power as my top speed was 180 km/h but that being said even 180 km/h is very fast and already an unsafe speed at that. It isn't a race car, nor is it advertised as such. This car shines in city driving lots of great features like auto brake, lane departure which works well even at night on coutry roads, blindspot warnings, parking sensors ect, it's very high tech. 99% of the time I drive in the city and I don't have a family so this car is perfect for me. I upgraded from a 16 year old shitbox that was falling apart literally so I may be biased and lack comparison but I feel like I'm driving a car for NASA with this baby. Price was reasonable for all you get. Fuel economy is excellent when driving in high gear up to 100 km/h (roads between cities that are not highway) 4.0 liters/100 km by my estimate even though the computer said something like 5.5. Just cruise along at 1200 RPM in gear 6 all the way. The car is also very stable and drives well. Steering is perfect and you can do crazy shit like ACCLERATE through a roundabout and it will not lose traction. I did this on my test drive.

I always love the design of this model but it looks so small to me, if Mazda can make it a bit longer ang wider that would be the best in this class.

Can the screen be updated to accommodate Apple CarPlay or Android Auto in North American markets? Love the look and size of these units but that was what prevented me from buying it

I'm looking at a low mileage 2 or 3 year old Mokka X 1.4T or the CX-3 for the wife. Interesting the Mokka starts with higher list price and better spec but depreciates quicker which makes it around £1000 less in the used market for equivalent age / mileage. Ive had loads of Vauxhall company cars in the past so there is a certain attraction to the Mazda for something a little different / more premium even?

I would never even think that air/engine noise could be an irritation if those spoiled millennials would not tell me...

I hate stickup radio screens, looks like an afterthought, why can't manufacture's build them into the dashboard which would make the car look tidy NO Apple carplay or Android Auto, what were they thinking? Also what about some 1.0 lt engines or even 1.2. They are mad cars for these days of wanting low Co2 output.
@Shattered-Realm4 жыл бұрын
I got this car so I may be biased but I did a lot of research before I pulled the trigger and signed the paperwork. 1.0-1.2 turbos suck. Turbo's are very prone to malfunction and expensive to fix or replace when they go. CO2 is irrelevant to my purchasing decisions. Your car is a drop in the ocean of CO2. Asshole leaders in Brazil setting fire thousands of square km's of rainforest and chinese factories pumping out CO2 by the gigaton daily are what's going to do the planet in. You burning 20-30 grams more or less of CO2 for every 100km you drive is irrelevant completely. But... even at that if you floor a turbo you also lose any semblence of fuel efficiency. How hard you push your car is the main determinant of fuel economy and hence CO2 output.

Because up there it's easily in the drivers line of sight without having to look down. Other channels have mentioned about Mazda's Kodo design that has changed the way cabins are built. Research the new Mazda 3 to see it at its best.
@mdo Жыл бұрын
Those 1.0/1.2 engines very prone to failure. Mazda went a different route with a large but naturally aspirated engine. Ironically in the real world Mazda's engine uses less fuel. And it will last a lot longer.

Must have bee extremely boring for you to do driving up and down the same piece of road over and over and over again. Certainly was very annoying to watch!
