Yes almost ren year's and people still use the cinematic on their KZbin videos as click 🪤...it's not cinematic it's far from cinematic....is just another iPhone video with some tweak's in colours that make it look better. Nothing more 😐 oh my god... If you want to be creative or you want to be realistic and understand the cinema definition...start to accept and understand what is what...

I’m surprised you didn’t use / suggest the blackmagic camera app for the capture section. It lets you shot the log colour , but save it in h.264/5 formats greatly reducing the file size, and means you can save a lot more footage on the phone without worry of running out of space.

Absolutely. The approach on this was to shoot with no accessories and directly in the native camera app, but the BlackMagic app is great!

@magnusowe2174 ай бұрын
Right. Now you also have the final cut pro app, witch is great at at a lot of things too. You cant shoot log in h264 though, but grading log footage shot in h264 will in a lot of cases introduce bad cases of banding and other artifact, so be careful doing it harsh lighting or other high conrast or low light situations. I wouldnt use it I think

Hi, thanks for your videos. This is huge because people often don’t get that shooting at 24 FPS makes no sense nowadays just because all of our screens, even in theatre, are set to 30/60 Hz, all over the world. 24 FPS were used in analog cinema just to save film roll. Oh and with Final Cut Camera App 1.1 you can shoot LOG HECV now 😊

adding motion blur is truly the secret sauce! But you can actually do it already in the Davinci Color tab - there is is an effect called Motion Blur and if you play with it a little bit, it works just as good in my opinion! great video btw

Nice video❤ For me the most important thing is the lack of sharpening in the pro res. I have regular iPhone and can't turn it off. It's just ridiculous that they didn't put that in the settings because let's be honest shooting on pro res isn't a requirement for the sharpening to be turned off but they made it this way to lure people to buy more expensive device but still it's ridiculous because even if you have pro version you'd want to turned it off without recording in heavy pro res. With sharpening image looks shite. Especially frustrating when raws from that camera look great

It's funny, when I was watching the video at the start, the POV on the swings I could tell RSMB was being used because after years of using it, you start to notice the artifacts of it quickly. Obviously anyone who doesn't know about the plugin won't pick up on it, but I definitely had a feeling it was being used here.

The reason you mention at 6:30 the 2x and 5x being muddy at close distances is because it is just digitally zooming on the 1x lens. The 2x always does this, and the 5x has a further minimum focus distance. The 5x uses the true optical 5x lens when focusing on further objects and looks much better.

This is really helpful. I was just in Disney World and mostly used my phone because it’s a pain to pull out the big camera every time. It’s so nice to watch practical videos like this, because sometimes the only camera you have is the phone in your pocket. My regrets from my last trip though was doing 4k 24fps…the footage is so jittery. So frustrating. As well, I don’t know if my phone is glitchy, or what, but sometimes I find that it wants to switch which lens it is using…I don’t know if anyone else has run into that problem, or if it’s just me. Also, if anyone knows how to stop the light reflections from ruining all the night shots, that would be great! Anyways, thanks again for the video! It’s really helpful.

I'm just learning about shooting video with my phone for the first time, and this is by far the most useful video I have come across yet. The main thing I'm left wondering though is how the camera movement is all so smooth, even while following a fast-moving subject. Also, for some reason I see judder in this video's playback; is that just me? It's especially noticeable and consistently present with the train shot that provides the RSMB before-and-after example.

Okay i must say this iphone footage looks good, but you can't put a 30fps Clip in to a 24 fps timeline without reducing the speet to 80% cause the framrates dosen't match and you can acually see it in your video you got some Lagging it's because every 1.25 frame get processed wich means there will be on frame in probably a second that get processed twice so you see it longer than the ohter frames and that causes the lagging

Glad I'm not the only one who noticed. Pretty basic stuff tbh, seems nobody has eyes anymore.
@juenixthelostboy6 ай бұрын
@@fabrizioroscini Yes, it's true, for example in a 3D cinema, when you take off the 3D glasses, everyone says it's blurry without the glasses, but you only see two images at the same time because the two different images for each eye are not polarized , so you can see them with both eyes, so it's like you're drunk, but I don't understand why people can't see that there are only two pictures and nothing is blurry

What you’re telling is mostly true, one big mistake you’ve given is to choose « most compatible » format ! It’s a very unwise advice since it will provide a better image especially in the high lights environment and this by taking less storage on the iPhone ! The only reason to chose « most compatible » is if you’re OS or software is really old ! H.265 is kind of common now, it’s compatible with Windows 10 or later, macOS since 2017 and all the professional video editing tools are capable of editing such rushes and that for years now (FinalCut Pro was in 2017, Premiere Pro was in 2015) ! The rest of the video is a gem, thanks for it !

6:25 you are somewhat incorrect here saying that 2x is not looking as good as 1x. 2x is simply cropping of the main 1x sensor from 48mpx to 24mpx. Yes, you can get a very slight bit of extra noise as you are averaging over fewer pixels to downsample to 4k, but with a good amount of light it should be irrelevant in practice. 24mpx is plenty to work with.
