Great talk and couldn’t agree more. I live in a small tourist town in the Eastern Sierra CA where public transportation is free and you can walk anywhere within 15-20 minutes. I know it’s not for everybody but I am grateful for our small town and would love others to have such connivence!

With the disabled parking - sometimes the positions are to allow broader access points to get mobility aids out of the car. Since changing the bays from wider bays to only having space either the left or the right limits the options. There’s also so few disabled bays which is problematic especially when people do park outside the lines

Firstly, the shared parking lot, I've hardly ever seen a big parking lot without a shopping center, restaurants, and other types of buildings around, with a few exceptions. I do agree environmental impact is huge, and not just in what you said. There is another unmentioned thing that can occur environmentally. Look up the history of the Sahara Desert and agricultural history of the area. Secondly, and this was what I thought this video was going to be about, disappointingly not. Parking lots can show a level to psychology in community/societal, individual, etc. It essentially can show the health of a community and even a nation, based upon the mindsets used. Similarly the same goes with the Shopping Cart and Self Governing view point.

Except that a lot of businesses that aren't religious organizations like my massage practice have weekend as well as weekday hours hours which is likely to cause a lot of bickering among businesses . I like his idea of car services though that may one day be reliable and feasible enough that nobody has to own a vehicle !

Once again....building codes dictate how many parking spaces are required for a building, not needed. Regulation, building codes and permitting is killing this nations jobs and productivity. Lawmaker's want to make it harder for beneficial services such as Uber and Lyft to operate. Great talk! I feel like this country, for many, many reasons is circling the drain.

Better, cleaner, bus stops right in the shopping centres and buses that go in not just to the outside of shopping centres. Most people using the bus are women, children, disabled and senior therefore need to be accessable.
