@kens97sto1713 жыл бұрын
So you come home late at night you're tired as hell and somebody's parked half in your spot. What are you going to do... call the office if they're even open at that point, and wait 3 hours for a tow truck to come to move that vehicle so you can park your own car in the spot properly, before going to sleep? Or are you going to park three inches into the grass. The apartment complex should have put a warning sticker on his truck before towing it for something pretty minor. Unless of course this has been a regular event with this guy. That is a possibility. It's one of the reasons I will never live in an apartment complex ever again if I have any choice. All kinds of stupid parking problems most of the time not your fault , but you end up paying the price for it in time and hassle and the asshole that parked sideways across two spots gets away with it.
@bonniest.pierre20453 жыл бұрын
@@kens97sto171 That's not "pretty minor". EVERYONE knows that they don't park in other people's space. The best one I ever saw was at the last apartment I ever lived in. I left one day to find a car parked in the middle of the driveway. The manager told me that they were in another tenant's spot. The guy owned a monster truck. He just hooked up and drug it out of his spot and left it. The manager was laughing when she told me about it.

you have to love the people that come home and someone is parked in their spot ... so what do they do? Park in someone else's spot, and perpetuate the hurt, instead of calling it in. I lived in an apartment complex in MD where the spots were numbered, assigned, and marked "RESERVED"... my spot happened to be right next to the kid's play park and pool area (private pool, for apartment renters only). I would come home, and sure enough, someone with a DC plate was parked in my spot ... because they wanted their kid to play or go to the pool... and they were too lazy to park a block or two away on the street, where there was parking. When the county police told me that it was lawful for me to park them in and call in the tow truck, that's what I did. Every. Single. Time. I would have people run over not when they saw me parking them in and standing there... no... 30 minutes later, they run from the pool when the tow truck shows up. They would cry and cry when they were told they had to pay the hook fee... and I would lecture them... they had window stickers for assigned parking at their private apartments in DC ... I would ask them, what if you came home from a long day at work and just wanted to park in your spot, but some asshole was parked there, that wasn't from MD, and was illegally swimming in a private pool? they would look at me like a deer in the headlights. One lady - who's car had stickers from their kids' private schools on it ... she cried. I told her "you tell all of your DC friends this is what happens when you park in someone's spot". I said, it's either a hook fee, or you pay ME the $100 as a fee to park in MY spot. Funny enough, a week or two later, NO ONE parked in my spot.

Our Son served the Marines, flew Ospreys for 7yrs, he doesn’t ever use that line or tell people “just to tell people”, hoping to get something from it. If that guy carry’s , he shouldn’t have let you known that either, in my opinion, that’s a threat! He parked it horizontally in the parking space and everyone parked behind it carefully. One night, after a new guy moved in with his, ( I parked 2' behind it. There was the line on the right of my car, then 3' of pavement to the next line). I heard he got really upset. 😔 But he handled it through the main office. Kudos to him! My roommate later told me that he allowed people to park behind his because we always ran out of parking spaces. Thanks. (He was the maintenance man for the complex). Even though I had parked carefully, left him plenty of maneuvering room, and didn't block him and I still felt awful because I didn't know. We all make mistakes.
