This is actually my strength, I would spend days as a kid on the beach, which had boulders, running from one to the other, jumping on them. I never fell and got hurt. And now, at 55, we moved back to a beach area, which has large boulders, and I just resumed it, remembering the techniques I learned as a kid. Climbing up that sandstone wouldn't be a problem.

Physical question: why is it advised to have as much rubber on the stone as possible? Since friction depends not only on area but also on pressure, which is inversely proportional to area, shouldn't it be irrelevant how much area of your feet actually is on the stone? The less area, the greater the pressure on the bit of area that's there, isn't it so?

The mechanics of the force acting on the angle of the slope change this, the force is going downwards, not into the slope so pressure is negated by a rate of the angle of the slope?

I agree with your statement and have thought about this a lot before. The more force you apply normal to the surface the less chance you have of slipping (weighted foot never slips). So I think in this case the more surface area you put on the rock the more force you can apply

You're overreacting. It's not like the title is "Here's How YOU Can Learn to Trad Climb in 90 Minutes." Instead, it's a challenge video specifically around Toby Segar, who is world renowned in world of parkour. Who has trained with the Wide Boyz before (as mentioned in this very video). And who already is fairy experienced indoor boulderer. The idea that any video title on its own is dangerous is pretty laughable really. If that's all it takes for someone to 'recklessly endanger' themselves, then it's probably not the video title that's the problem.
