Well almost everyone in Sweden knows how to speak english.. I started learning it in second grade. And in Sweden we have subtitles on TV unlike most countries in Europe, which helps a lot

Nathalie A Most European countries start studying English since first grade. Where I'm from we got introduced to English in kidergarden. In France it's not such a big requirement because they are not as dependent on English (also... English vs French history, French do not think they should learn English). Oh and I don't think there's a country in Europe that doesn't have subtitles for TV...
