One (silly?) question - the random orbital sander - does it actually rotate or its just sort of vibrating sanding. When it spins it would sand more efficiently to compare if its just vibrating. do does it just vibrate or spins? thanks!

It spins. You remove the 4 rubber pins provided to allow it to spin. The detail and finishing Sanders you use the pins to lock them in place so they only vibrate.

No they are included. They should come with it.

I've never used it for a wall. Only for wood.

Seems like a great bit of kit for the money. Handy being able to use different attachments. Seems like parkside tools are getting better. My £30 drill with the detachable chuck is really good. £17.99 for the tool only. Waiting for them to come back in stock as i want another one.

Saw it in one of the in-store pamphlet's, on sale Sunday 15th, they have a router for sale too 44.99.... Plus various other tools, clamps etc .... Do you have any idea of the pad size for round pad holder ? I know they come in various sizes depending on make

Just an idea With those rubber pegs for the sheet and detailed sander would it be a wise idea to glue them in place on the bases to prevent loosing them or is there a reason not to Thanks

I suppose you could glue them in if you wanted to but when pushed in they are grippy so tend to stay put anyway.

I am curious, how does the machine know when to sand just orbitally and when to sand random orbital? It doesn't appear to have a function button to change functions.

I can explain. For the detail and finishing Sanders, 4 rubber inserts are put into the machine. For the random orbit function the 4 rubber inserts are removed so that the pad can move in a random fashion. These 4 rubber inserts come with the machine.

@@PhillWyattProjects so does that mean, it's really just a 2-in-1 sander but with three different shaped pads (for it to be 3-in-1 it would have to sand back-and-forth like a handheld sander, in a circular fashion (orbital), and finally a mixture of the two (random orbital), is this device doing those three distinct things?)

These have turned up at Lidl again this weekend. Picked one up at my local branch for some odds and ends around the flat (smoothing out cat scratches on window frames for one thing 🐈🙄😂). Had a quick watch of this video before I decided to go for it. Looks like it should do the job, fingers crossed 🤞🏼

@@jackthomas7837 surely if it stops after minutes of usage its going back - ofcourse thank you - I thought it would be a good affordable alternative for small jobs - i tend to use paint strippers and hand sand using sheet adjusted to sand block-
