Love the mod, really cool idea! I would strongly advise adding a master switch though. The current consumption is very low and that's not a concern, but you really don't want to accidentally turn on the angle grinder while you're grabbing it. Or have someone that isn't aware of the mod do it while taking it out of the tool bag or whatever.

If you really want to make it safe, I would add a relay that after not touching it for more than 10 seconds it automatically desarms the master switch.

In my opinion it should only rearm after the original pb go to off and on again. The ideia is great for safety if you drop it it accidentally, but like it is could be dangerous if you forgot it on and grab it

Very innovative. So much so that I could better imagine this solution in a device that does not work with a high-speed tool. Maybe a slower tool with running up, with a beep before starting.

thats an awesome idea! it only works because the current doesn't pass through the switch, right!? the switch only acts as a signal for the controller when closed. sadly this mod then will only work with controllers with dedicated switch then (is this a soft switch?) looking forward for more of your projects!

Great mod Brother! ✌️ This greatly will reduce wear and tear of the power switch. Which often is cause of failure in most angle grinders, at least corded ones 😁

I got the exact same Angle grinder (No not the smaller Green Version - this Professional Version) .. And i am truly not the rudest or brutal guy to my own tools but this weak thing has almost *Zero Torque* . I am absolutely stunned or more likely *disappointed* . It is not even able to cut through a porcelain stoneware tile without it switching off. Brand new Battery and WiDia (Diamond) Disc. A tiny bit of Preasure and .. OFF. Had to Powercycle all the time. At first i thought it might be the Battery. I own more or less 8-10 Parkside X20V Tools with a lot Batterys big and small (2-4Ah) and doesnt matter what battery i took .. always the same disappointing result. I feel sorry to say so but this Angle Grinder is absolute Trash. At least he was Cheap at that time. It was reduced to about 40€~ (Normally the Price of the smaller Version - and i am not shure if this would not be the better choice)

Return it and they will give you a new one if it died in a warranty time .my friend has performance tools and some green ones -the problem is quality used to be much better before ,each year price goes up and quality goes down to a point that its much better to spend some extra cash and buy dewalt. If you own many battery's you can buy adapter for parkside to dewalt online.Or makita ,bosch etc or you can make your own with simple tools.
