I have the Parkside and I think it's great. I use the filter but I wrap one layer of kitchen roll paper around the filter, when it needs changing I just tear the kithen paper off and put another piece around. Saves having to buy a new filter, it has lasted years.

A quick tip for WD5 if you're working with a lot of dust - using a clean (new) filter and a vacuum bag (that doesn't mess up the filter right away) makes a huge difference in suction power. Dust kills power without a vacuum bag really fast and you can clean the filter as much as you want, you'll never get it as clean as it was. I haven't cleaned my filter in probably 2 months and I work with it all weekends cleaning brick and concrete dust. Before I was using the bag I had to clean it every 15min if I was cleaning a lot of dust.
@DamirUlovec Жыл бұрын
Indeed. And he didn't run that test with Parkside vacuum cleaner.
@lahaart Жыл бұрын
But that's the point, with the Parkside vaccum you just don't need a bag and it works perfectly.
@DamirUlovec Жыл бұрын
@@lahaart You don't need a dust bag In Karcher either. They both designed for that. But it is much better for a vacuum cleaner if you have one. Vacuuming (dry) dirt without a dust bag and filter will destroy any electric motor of the vacuum cleaner in very short time.

I use the size 1 and 1/0 Mustad hooks to freeline for snook kzbin.infoUgkxzXmlErSqVAEGWFEKO530BvTqFDw53QW3 and they have been fantastic. The points are super sharp, and the hook is small enough to blend with my baitfish, yet large enough to land fish 30" or more. I also use these hooks when I'm pier or surf fishing with my kids. They tend to catch tons of smaller snapper, whiting, and catfish, and we get far fewer gut hooks with these Mustad in-lines, which means more of them survive after release. I was actually using these hooks when I caught my friend too, but I think that had more to do with the bait I was using ;-)

on hard surfaces, pretty much any vaccum will do, but my interest is on RUGS, because the commercial vacuums don't come with special "shacking feature that some premium 1k dollar vacuums that are used in hotels come with. Or like the old designs were in the 50's with sack. Those are actually better than these because they shake up the surface, not just stick to it like these modern ones do.

I have spent ages looking at wet and dry vacuums and the reviews are not great for any of them; this excludes the Parkside one though, only because I didn’t know it existed! Time and again I see people complaining about these modern vacs having less suction and poor quality tools and this includes the expensive Henry models and also the Karcher WD6, which was the one I most favoured. I’ll now keep my eye out for one of these Parkside models, although I’m not sure whether they are available in the UK.

Can you vacuum dust (a car for example) and then vacuum something wet (like wet car seats) without changing filters? Because i see all these dry/wet vacuums, but you have to change bags and filters every time and it’s gotta be a pain in the ass.
@lahaart3 жыл бұрын
Sorry, but I never really tried that so I can't tell, if I do I let you know.
@crpth13 жыл бұрын
The "dry" filter MUST be removed every time you want to use it for liquids. By dry filter, I mean the bag and the (usually) HEPA filter. Most commonly they get replaced by a simple foam sleeve, to protect the motor from major splashing. Either case this last part is dependent on the particular model/brand. Regarding the removal of the filter. Please don't even try to use it with the bag (full of dust/debris). You'll thank me later! What happen is very simple. The bag with all it's contents when wet. Start degrading into "compost". All fine, until you realize it will, really fast, turn into an anaerobic condition! Or in other words it will smell TERRIBLE! Just a couple of weeks ago I used it to wet vacuum my sofa. The plan was to throw away the full bag immediately after! BUT, In all honesty, I totally forgot the thing afterwards! Result, this morning I turn it ON inside the house... We almost died with the foul smell. I disassembled the vacuum out in the garden. I add to wash ALL parts! With "Vanish Oxy" and hot water! The smell is still pungent... Let that be a lesson! ;-) Cheers Edit: For your own sake. when using it for "wet". Make sure the last thing you vacuum is clean water. This way the system is cleaned (more or less). After dumping all the water, make sure to let it dry completely. Before storing it. The hose is better to be left hanging to drain & dry! ;-)

My experience- I have Karcher WD5 for years, It is powerful BUT I am able to smell the wood particles when I use this shopvac. I think that the filtration unit (the filter itself and the whole ïnovative" design for snapping the filter in place) is GARBAGE. My Karcher sucks dirty poluted air from somewhere and I can not figure out how to fix it so far. What is your opinion for that roblem, do You have similar problems with your Karcher. Try to suck only MDF and smell the xhausted air, do you feel it? and ell me please.
@lahaart3 жыл бұрын
Hey Mo ni, sorry for the late reply. I don't think your shopvac is letting wood particles through the filter, it's more likely that the filter is blocking up to quickly, as shown in the video, and therefore not sucking properly where it should suck; at your saw blade. Referring to the smell issue, if you cut wood it will always smell like wood. Thanks for your Input.
