That was a struggle getting that tap started. Are you sure you drilled the correct size hole?

I think what lets this set down, is the lack of a centre, in the backs on the M7 though M12 taps.

That drill bit needs sharpening/replacing.

not the best, some tap and dies have burrs from manufacture on the cutting edge which can affect the cutting
