Been listening to you guys since I was 16. I’m 31 now. Saw you live when I was in high school. “Parkway Drive” also was my senior quote under my photo in the yearbook. I did reports on you for multiple classes in multiple grades. You were also in my “senior project”. Lastly… my father has a friend in Byron Bay. So we asked him to take a photo of Parkway Drive and he sent it to me. I had it blown up and framed. This was probably 10 years ago. I still have it despite moving like 7 times. This album dropped when my ex and I decided that we were going to part ways and start to divorce. This song resonated so strongly with the doomed feeling I felt in the only relationship I’d known in my adult life, and it helped me move forward ahead. I have always loved parkway drive. Since there first album all the way to now. I pre ordered the gold vinyl of this album btw. But I don't want them to get lazy and just mash together old classics. I only criticize because they ate one of my favorite bands of all time and want them to be great.

This sums it up pretty well. It's almost like A Deathless Song but more emphasis on acoustics, which I dig. It seems like melodic metal bands out there need to have a softer tone to even things out from the aggressive/heavy stuff. Since Parkway's switched to this melodic metal direction, I've always said that they should take some influences from the band Insomnium...aggressive, yet when they want to go softer, it sounds like it fits the mould and isn't forced. Downside to this song was the vocals, autotune was way to noticeable for my liking.

There is just something about this song that is so mesmerizing and magical. At first I was lukewarm on it but the more I listen to it the more I realize this is one of the best songs they have ever written. I've been listening to PWD since Don't Close Your Eyes. They've had some great tracks and brutal songs that teen me loved to headbang to but it almost feels as I've grown into a man the band has grown with me. This song is an arrival for the band and I can't wait to run this album on repeat for 3 months straight. Seriously let Jeff cook more cause he has been severely under recognized for his abilities.
