Been listening to you guys since I was 16. I’m 31 now. Saw you live when I was in high school. “Parkway Drive” also was my senior quote under my photo in the yearbook. I did reports on you for multiple classes in multiple grades. You were also in my “senior project”. Lastly… my father has a friend in Byron Bay. So we asked him to take a photo of Parkway Drive and he sent it to me. I had it blown up and framed. This was probably 10 years ago. I still have it despite moving like 7 times. MORAL OF THE STORY: I’m a huge fan. Huge huge.

I know a lot of people understandably rag on them for leaving behind their early sound BUT the guitar work here is so good you can’t really rip on these guys. Might not be “heavy” by today’s standards but the throwback sound is pretty dope. I welcome this style from having years of ear fatigue of hearing the same stuff over and over. I do still hope there’s a super heavy track hiding on the album but ya gotta take off the metalcore glasses and respect the musicianship here.

This sums it up pretty well. It's almost like A Deathless Song but more emphasis on acoustics, which I dig. It seems like melodic metal bands out there need to have a softer tone to even things out from the aggressive/heavy stuff. Since Parkway's switched to this melodic metal direction, I've always said that they should take some influences from the band Insomnium...aggressive, yet when they want to go softer, it sounds like it fits the mould and isn't forced. Downside to this song was the vocals, autotune was way to noticeable for my liking.

This album dropped when my ex and I decided that we were going to part ways and start to divorce. This song resonated so strongly with the doomed feeling I felt in the only relationship I’d known in my adult life, and it helped me move forward ahead. I don’t know if y’all see this, but this is exactly what I needed to hear when I was staring into the abyss. Thank you for pouring your all into your music, guys. 🤙🏻

This song blows the previous two out of the water! I might prefer the older albums, but if you're gonna step away from metalcore, this is the way to go! Awesome to see them fully commit to the new style and skip the half-assed breakdowns like the one in Glitch. Reminds a lot of A Deathless Song, which is by far my favorite post-Atlas PWD song.

Having listened to the whole Darker Still album and always enjoying your real hard stuff, this has to be my favourite song on the album even though it's not what we would expect from you guys at all. It is very different to the rest of the album but this song is an absolute masterpiece. I get heavy Pink Floyd vibes from this even though I rarely listen to Pink Floyd that much. It takes me back to the times when my Dad would play Pink Floyd when I was a little kid. Fuck the old fans. I love this new direction. All bands need to change and evolve to stay relevant and not sound the same all the time. The old music will never disappear if that is what you old fans prefer. You guys can enjoy the old stuff while I will enjoy both old and new.
