This jam could be used in a modern day western. Only George Clinton could have not one but two female recording acts with the Brides of Funkenstein being the other.
@kevincollins84063 жыл бұрын
What really makes this track drive is the hand clap this added that signature p funk stamp on it also used in theme from the black hole bootsy jam fan and also not affiliated with p funk micheal Henderson’s prove it had this hand clap! It was re introduced by shock G in humpty dance sampled from an open area in theme from the black hole ! I know Ive sampled it myself !

@billyjacc4 жыл бұрын
Yes. I totally agree!
@021881mt Жыл бұрын
@@billyjacc IMO it was just "bad luck" circumstances...The Brides were signed to a better label at that particular time... Casablanca wasn't promoting Parlet like The Brides label was for them, plus I'm not sure if Neal Bogart sold Casablanca yet in 79 but definitely by 1980 and he died (George thinks he was taken out)...plus there was some big burning of disco music protest going on in 79 that might have effected that which they even mentioned would happen in the liner notes to One Nation Under A Groove vinyl with "Disco Ban of 82" I think...Funk music officially becoming illegal heading into 1980...classic PFUNK just got buried starting as early as 1979... something was going on because George talks about GloryHallaStoopid being "planned obsolescences" and on the title track says "he's got a bug.. she's got a bug...they bug you, they bug your friends, until they bug you out" which could've just referred to pestering but when you play the gibberish part backwards it sounds more like they were being attacked/infiltrated to me("S.I.A.")...I think a certain drummer who left in 78 took a deal to put out Mutiny in 79 and before we had Hip Hop beefs like JZ and Nas's here in 1979 you have a Funk beef with Lump dissing George + PFUNK, and George responding back to it on Colour Me Funky... George never gives anything away but clues, to makes you think and figure it out...old school street teaching/parenting
