My father was posted in the combat engineer unit of 18 div tasked with breaching Pakistani defences. The Army never fails , don't read half baked kahania. The army was failed by the political leadership's ineptness. The soldiers who died were lost due to cross border firing , minefield , arty shelling and counter insurgency operations.
