Beatles bootlegs have been around for over 50 years. In this video we look back at how they began and how the coming of the CD in the late 1980s saw an explosion of high quality releases by pirates who serviced a gap in the market which Apple has still to completely fill.
Whilst it is illegal to make or sell bootleg material, showing and discussing it is not.
