Parnelli Jones update #3

Finally getting some paint laid down. Get excited to finish this up and get sent of to Arkansas.

@@bigchef2112 yeah. Those guys back then used to race and excel at every discipline. It’s all so specialized these days. Not nearly as interesting.

Thanks Pete. Yea, that new formula that he uses for his enamels is great. I have dar in dehydrator for 8 hours, then I’ll be able to tape off and paint the red or blue tomorrow. His primer dries even faster.👍

@@bigchef2112 that's amazing for enamel. Good luck with masking and spraying the colours 🤞👍. I think I'll do same paint scheme on one of my models. It might look good on a 64 Galaxie 🤔

I saw the Darrel Dieringer Marauder at Charlotte Motor Speedway on display years ago while at the World 600. The guy driving the show truck told us the colors on the Stroppe Mercs were 1956 Mercury Persimmon, Corinthian White, and Mercury Pacific Blue Poly. Yours is coming along very nicely, keep up the good work. Longtime subscriber and enjoying your uploads.

Thanks bud. I appreciate your support. Most of the old colors I just get close referencing the color from MCW. Can’t justify having a pint mixed up for $40 at the auto shop per color. I wouldn’t be able to keep buying models!🤣🤣

How does the chrome work with being handled?

Don’t know yet. I’ll let it sit for a week before I detail them. I will post pics of them in my next update. I usually use green stuff world which is very durable after 72 hours. Thanks for watching.👍
