I'm not typically an interior room type of gal, but I'd consider that virtual balcony for a budget cruise! It's amazing the things they can do with technology - I especially love the real time footage broadcast.

No balcony,No cruise for us on any ship. We spend a lot of time on our balconies as a rule. Especially on sea days when decks are crowded. Breakfast and lunch are best eating on our private balcony. I worked Third shift for many yrs.and wake up in wee hrs in the morning and love to go sit out on balcony.👍

We like to cruise while keeping budget in mind when we can, so we can continue to cruise more often. I’d say we probably do 75% of our cruises in interior cabins. Plus, we wanted to see what the virtual “balcony” hype was all about, ha ha. Turns out it wasn’t all that exciting!! :P

I just got off the "Odyssey of the Seas" last Saturday, Dec. 18th, 2021, & was mostly impressed with the ship! I had a balcony cabin but saw a few "virtual cabins" & was very impressed with them, especially if you were wanted the cheapest fare! However, if you are not able to walk long distances, you may have trouble traversing this ship, as the restaurant & theaters are on either end, nearly a 1000 feet away! I had about 3000 aboard & experienced some problems using the free activities! I wonder what will happen when the ship is full?

For my wife and I.... we had a virtual balcony cabin about 3 years ago when we went on a Southern Caribbean(Bonaire, Aruba, and Curacao). We had issues with ours and were given another cabin. Same issues but after we left the cabin we came back to ours working.....for a while. I am not going to say NO to another virtual balcony because there might have been a glitch in the one we had. We did have it on all night because of the sea noise. Too bad they don't have a scented virtual balcony.

They’re competitors called Uber and Lyft that I typically combine into my word “UberLyft”because we use both, whichever is cheaper at that moment, ha ha… it’s a rideshare app where “normal” folks offer up their vehicular services to drive you places. You just type in where you want to go, and it gives you pricing for different sized cars. Like a taxi service that’s always on call from your app, hah. We love it!! :D

The Solarium is open to all adult guests (usually over age 16 or 18, I think). Bistro is open to all cruisers regardless of cabin type. I love the Solarium.

The chair situation on Royal Caribbean needs to be fixed. It is just being a hassle and does not make sense at all. Everybody was tested and vaccinated, they need to relax with the chair restrictions a bit.

Yes on Quantum class ships, either virtual balcony or virtual view (window). Navigator has a few cabins with the feature (was the test ship) and I believe a few are available on Symphony and Harmony

Those darn adirondock(sp?) chairs are such a hazard! BUT, the chaise loungers are much safer, they have special nylon/unobtanium material that absorbs the C thingy..That's what it must be.🙃
