Our first full sea day onboard Nieuw Amsterdam finds us shaking and mixing at an upcharge Cosmos & Manhattans mixology class, enjoying some crispy fries at Dive-In Burger for lunch, channeling our inner artists at a free watercolor technique class, checking out the brand new upcharge Morimoto By Sea restaurant, getting funky with the Rolling Stone Lounge band, and more mayhem!! :P

If the sphere was made out of dark chocolate and then had the marshmallow/caramel added and depending on the sauce poured for the % level I can see it would meld together for balance. The key is finding the balance of the darkness with the lower level percent/sweet aspect. I'm not a seafood person personally BUT I do appreciate a true chef presented menu.

Grand Turk is One of my favorite ports for snorkeling and its free and close to ship. Super rocky so wear water shoes. Snorkel to the right of beach. I also like Ocean Cay.

I am a retired chef who owned 2 restaurants. The head has the cheeks and the head meat which re some of the best bits of the fish! Looked like an incredible meal. I thought Dee got the best dishes.

That was a bargain for any Morimoto meal! We frequent Morimoto's in Maui at the Andaz and it far pricier. My husband loves the ribs and I love the sake.

We have been on the Koningsdam and enjoy Holland America. Love the watercolor class. I think HAL has excellent live music. Dee, I love the dress. Great colors for you. Are you able to share where you got it? Also wanted to add that I appreciate the extra details you have been including such as prices for the upcharge experiences and more info on excursions etc. It is very helpful. Thank you

We getting ready to go on our first cruise on Koningsdam to Alaska. We have 2 special dinnings for our 7 day cruise and I am having the hardest time trying to pick only two of the restaurants. Which are your two favorites? They apparently will have this one once a week too.

Woohoo! Yes, the Morimoto popup should be up and running, though it’s a slightly smaller menu than what we had and doesn’t include those sticky ribs. Taking that into account, we would probably choose Pinnacle Grill and then either Sel De Mer if you’re into seafood or Tamarind if you’re into Asian cuisine.

Yes, and apparently across most of the ships. They have removed the Lincoln Center and BB King branding.

Compared to Morimoto in NYC the menu is reduced and whitewashed.
