Most of Italian lyrics are literally impossible to translate in english. We have a dramatically different grammar. Sometimes I consciously make "mistakes" in the english translation only because I want to be as close to the original lyrics as possibile.

This song is hilarious from the point of view of the subject because she's tired of the foreplay and sweet talk and wants the man to just shut up and get to it, propose marriage or lets make love. But the man is probably married already and not going to change so he just wants to sweet talk and charm the mistress to get her in the mood. But she is tired of this act of his, she's heard it all before. Slam, bam, thank you ma'am is what's going to be the result so lets just get to it. And leave cash before you go! This Italian song was a hit first in Italian by Mina and Alberto Lupo in 1972, who sing here in this video. A French version by Dalida and Alain Delon also was a hit a little later.

The Italian lady translator admits her english does not convey the 'emotion' of the original all the time. For example the woman singer's first reaction to the exaggerated compliment of the man; " I look at you , and Its like for the first time! ", which is not true since he resorts to her repeatedly for sex. She answers; " What are you?" 3x's, Its not too clear what she is saying? A Spanish translation is; " Que como eres? ", or " You know how you are?". We Americans may express it as " You are really something, you know? ". At 1:20 she complains; " Roses and Violins? ? This night tell another woman about them./ I can hear and smell violins and roses, / when I want, If I want./ When it is the right moment/ then we will see?/ "He continues with " Just another word./ " missing the point that she wants touching at this time not talking. Similarly at 2:52 she complains; " Usually the moon and the crickets keep me awake in the night, /when I want to sleep and dream./ The man I love is in you,/ and when he is there, / he speaks less,/ and I like him ( that way )./ " And still the man continues with " One more word./" not having listened to what she said but wanting to keep talking. This impertinent and annoying sweet talk she calls " Caramelos (candies) " which she does not want anymore of at the moment. And yet at the end of the song the man also complains; " Che cosa sei ? " 4x's, " to her repeatedly complaining; " Words, words, words, that's all there is between us ?", as if to say; " C'mon, stop complaining and give in (to me), please? ". This song is clearly about miscommunication and missing the clues of the moment.
