Royal Commission on hearing that Cardinal Pell had received information from a student at Ballarat's St Patrick's College in the 1970s that Dowlan was "misbehaving with boys". Justice McClellan asked: "Why was it necessary for people to ask you to do something rather than for you to accept the information and initiate your own response?" Cardinal Pell said he was 'not as aware of his obligations' at that time, when he was a young cleric, as he was later on........not aware of his obligations as a human being on hearing of someone's suffering. Hardly the 'christian' thing to do, or maybe it is? protect the paedophile priest, sod the victim!

Bishop Vigano was the one who brought the Corruption to light in Vatican Bank. And look what happened to him. I'm just wondering about Bishop Rafferty because this case is close to my heart. Bishop Rafferty was the Bishop at the church in my Home Town.

Nathan, the 'Open Robes' aspect of the prosecution's case was the most incredible, if not farcical, part of the whole show trial. Every priest, either of the Left or Right or anywhere in between, knows that immediately after the celebration of Mass the priest's robe are impossible to "open." Thanks be to God, the truth came out in the end and the Justices of the High Court saw the incontrovertible facts (7-0), over and above the howls of the hateful and prejudiced.
