Love what you’ve done all ready and tough decisions had to be made,Parra we’re getting stagnant and needed a shake up. Wow we got Lomax and the Fox top that with the best half’s in the comp and one of the best up an comer’s in Longi what a back line. Just need our middle an edge’s to do there job and a dummy half that can pass a ball quickly. Can’t wait to see how we go. Back in the semifinals here we come

As a long term fan; I am looking forward to improvement through effort in the coming seasons, both on and off the field. I also want to see the ongoing leakage of local juniors be capped. I am pleased to hear this will be a focus for the new coaching staff going forward. Player retention is an issue for all clubs, it's about getting the balance right. That will be the challenge for the new staff and, we should see the results on the field over the next few years. As an aside; I wish RCG all the best and thank him for his service to the club. While I am not expecting miracles, I think it is fair for Parramatta fans to expect immediate improvements on 2024. I very much hope that Jason and the staff have developed a two, five and ten year plan for the club. Thinking long term will put the focus squarely on the development (and retention) of local Parramatta juniors, something I believe has been lacking in resent years. Lets go Parra!

Great interview. As an Eels fan of 40 plus years I have more confidence for the Eels future than I have had in some time. His talk of changing the culture at the Eels and improving the work ethic is defintely where he needs to start. Our Mighty Eels over the past few years have become mentally weak as evidenced by the capitulations we have experienced this year (e.g. 5 trys in 10 min from the Dragons, 3 trys in 5 mins from the Panthers and the appalling 2nd half against the Dolphins earlier in the season). Our work ethic is obviously poor too which can not be denied given we leaked 30pts a game this season. Yes our poor defence is also a skill issue but starting on effort will be the building block of change. A team rebuilding always needs to begin with the culture and defence. It is a well worn adage for a reason to say get your defence right and points/wins will come off the back of it.

As an eel's supporter I want him to do a great job, I'll reserve my opinion for next year and see how they are going. My biggest issue is the playing roster or the lack thereof. Parra already had a lack of depth even before they let 11 players out the door and I'm not seeing any big signings under Ryles yet.

Looks a little nervous, but that is to be expected I suppose for a new head coach that has never coached NRL before. Said all the nice and expected things and made some great little sound bites for the media sniffing dogs to get stuck in and put on a loop. But it really doesn't matter what he sounds like, I mean look at the best two coaches in the business in Bennett and Bellamy, hardly impressive wordsmiths. As with all new and unknown coaching appointments time will tell, but my gut feeling isn't great. He just seems very stock standard to me. I've been following the Eels for decades and I would rather have gone with Michael Cheika, but here we are so I hope for our sake he surprises me and turns out to be a real pathways and defensive legend of a coach.That is what is urgently needed and paramount for this club to have real and sustained success. If he can be that then the rest will sort itself out and a Premiership won't be to far away. Short of that, it will be same old same old and soon after we will all be saying 'NEXT'!
