It's interesting you mentioned mines. My ancestor was the first owner of the Silver City Mine in New Mexico. My best friend in the world had ancestors who worked there. We became friends the day we met and we've found all these weird connections over the years.

Nothing is more beautiful than a woman and the youth giving it to The Man! The museum is on my list to visit!

Howdy. On the bus ride home tonight, I was thinking how cool it would be to see a video (or videos) of your perspective on Mexican singer/film stars from way back. I was specifically thinking of Pedro Infante and Jorge Negrete because I have a bit of a dead-celebrity-from-before-i-was-born crush on them and their singing, and I know next to nothing about them - they may have been monsters for all I know. Also that time period of Mexican film and music and some of the other stars of the time. I would geek out on any of that. Thanks for all the insights to so many cool things.

My maternal great grand father is from Parral while his wife is from Santa Barbara. I enjoyed visiting my Mexican roots. 🙏🏻

All my ancestors from Spain came through Chihuahua. What's odd is that they never married outside of the caste until my dad married my mom. We can trace back to the early 1700's on my dads side, but now I have to travel to look at church records that aren't on-line yet.

One of my relatives has a small iron stove. I have been told that Pancho Villa was traveling through the river valley where my great & grandparents lived. They stopped and my family cooked his men dinner on the stove. Guess I better research than now!
