N saw from the official government, that the light rail should be a good to go around mid-late this year…with also the METRO to Sydnaham being around August

Hi Phil 👋 I really enjoyed this update, and I am looking forward to this line opening in the near future. I was initially quite sceptical about this project, but I have since changed my opinion, and I think it will be a huge asset to Parramatta.

Hi John! :) It should open within a couple of months. Maybe even next month!

Excellent video. Interesting that both Westmead and Parramatta will eventually be served by Light rail, Heavy Rail and Metro.

Lost my comment. Thanks for this. What date did you do it as I was over there not long ago and don't remember the Signs for Trams due being up? Hope this posts this time!

@@aussiejohn5835 Thanks. Also can you take your push bike on the tram?
@aussiejohn58354 ай бұрын
@chriscowally Yes, you can take your bike on the tram. You can take your bike on the tram, trains, and ferries in Sydney but not on the buses. The Parramatta tram is not open to the public until later this year.

I think the trams are more frequent than what's shown on the tracker, but a bunch of them are running "not in service".
@hamishmacintyre46004 ай бұрын
Are we allowed to call them trams or is it written that they must be called Light Rail Vehicles?
@joshporter54224 ай бұрын
Few people have caught 'L4' line number's on vehicle displays. Platforms PID's could just be using a temporary programming.

Those tram stop roofs are complete junk. They are way too high if there is any wind, it will rain sideways. They prob should have asked people on the L2, L3 about their experiences before putting them along the new route. Something like a 3.5 side large (long) glass bus stop at each end would be much more functional. At least these are still better than Kingsford Jrs as you get soaked no matter where you stand.
@ec71524 ай бұрын
IT will be the L4 line and and stage 2 most likely be L5

I honestly think they should have removed most of the footpath on the hospital side of the road and installed a major crossing point, which would allow for dual lane bike paths. Drivers will get pissed when bikes take up what is now the only lane (I ride and drive, hate neither, but most drivers are dicks to bikes).
