Privet Mickey, another awesome adventure. I been to Asiatique few times, it used to be very crowded, touristy & overpriced nid noi. After Icon Siam is opened, may be it's causing downfall of crowd to Asiatique. Icon siam really has lot more to offer though Asiatique has more open vibe. Now it looks sad & depressing jing jing. Ive been to thailand many times but never Asiatique because I dont really like overcrowded places, but it pains me to see the empty shops decimated by the pandemic. I wonder how much would it cost for 2 to dine at the ship restaurant.. the most expensive meal I ever had for 2 in bangkok is over 12 thousand baht and I couldnt believe my eyes =\

จากที่ผมเคยคุยกับพ่อค้าที่นั่น เหตุผลที่ร้านค้าน้อยเพราะส่วนหนึ่งมาจากการทำธุรกิจของชาวจีนกลุ่มหนึ่ง ที่จัดทัวร์ชาวจีนมาที่นั่นจำนวนมาก ร้านค้าที่นั่นก็คือคนจีนเช่าพื้นที่เพื่อเปิดร้านขายให้คนจีน ซึ่งจ่ายค่าเช่าราคาสูงกว่าคนไทย โดยปกติราคาเช่าที่สูงอยู่แล้วสำหรับคนไทย สินค้าก็ต้องขายแพง และนักท่องเที่ยวที่เป็นชาวจีนส่วนใหญ่ก็ซื้อสินค้าจากร้านคนจีนที่ขายสินค้าเอกลักษณ์ไทย เพราะคุยกันรู้เรื่องกว่า ร้านค้าคนไทยจึงอยู่ไม่ได้ ต้องปิดตัวไป ทำให้ร้านค้ามีไม่ถึง50%ของพื้นที่ นักท่องเที่ยวชาวไทยและต่างชาติลดลง อีกทั้งมีปัญหาเรื่อง covid จึงไม่มีนักท่องเที่ยวจีน ร้านค้าจีนก็ไม่เปิด ที่ผมทราบเป็นเพียงส่วนหนึ่งนะครับ อาจะมีปัจจัยอื่นๆอีกที่ทำให้สถานที่นี้ซบเซาลง จากที่กล่าวมา ผมไม่ได้จะกล่าวหาชาวจีนว่าไม่ดีนะครับ แต่เพราะความมุ่งเน้นผลประโยชน์มากเกินไปของบางคนเท่านั้นครับ ขออภัยในความไม่แข็งแรงด้านภาษาอังกฤษ
