Maybe in your country but here in the USA (At least in my state) pet birds that are released thrive after being set free. And they are such a nuisance because many people have bird feeders outdoors that these pet birds occupy and compete with natural wild birds and multiply. In my yard I've seen what was just 3 budgies multiply over the years, it's becoming a real problem, they've been around for 6 years now and have multiplied. People need to stop releasing none native birds to the wild.

wtf!? Poor babies, most of them didn't even know how to fly properly seeing how many just stayed at the ground in the end and looked confused. These birds are caught mostly in baby stage and are used to humans feeding and caring for them till they grow up. They CAN'T survive in the wild and are easy prey for predators. The thought behind the action might have been good but just releasing them without doing any research and thinking you did a good thing is just horrible. Should have at least given them to some responsible people instead. With the way the world's condition regarding environment is getting deteriorated, only those species are surviving better which seem to be mostly under human care and supervision. Stop shaming those who keep parrots or any birds,animals etc.. as long as they are taking proper care for them for the rest of the creature's life, who the heck are the others to judge!? Shitty people trying to be so called politically correct...Bet those people aren't able to raise pets properly, hence the reason they don't want others to, and are always triggered about it.

if you pack 100 people in a 10 feet x 10 feet room for hours together with less food or no proper ventilation and then one fine moment you open the room and release them and ask them to run a 100 Meters sprint like Usain Bolt, what will happen ? same thing happened to these poor Parakeets. I understand the good Samaritan intention of these noble volunteers who are releasing these poor birds back to nature, but you see if captivity was hell, getting back to natural environment after a long captivity is half hell, since it's a jungle out there and only the fittest survive in a open natural environment.

Pet birds dont know where to find food or water. Pet birds dont kow which trees belong to other flocks. Pet birds dont have the muscles to fly very fast or very high. This is probably releasing the parrots into a sanctuary or park rather than the wild. DO NOT RELEASE YOUR PET BIRDS.
