Shadow I wouldn't compare Ike haters to smash 4 Cloud haters, since Cloud in smash 4 was actually busted-people who didn't complain either just accepted it or liked Cloud as a character. And Ike is not brain dead-you have to outplay your opponent while only having like 3 neutral tools, which is very difficult in high level play.

@@sleepyshaman6544 If is big right there. There's been some crazy tech around for a while, even in past iterations, some of which are ironed out and others which are expanded upon. And granted, the comments section of a GimR video is a more open-minded place, conversations with smashers, not just top players (who don't all utilize top tier tech - not using a top tier character, but techniques with high demand) have been consistent; avoiding using certain moves or techniques because it's difficult to land. While I understand the argument, I don't agree with it. And smash post melee is, for the most part, the only FGC where I've consistently seen players avoid using certain tools outright. And it's not like there is even alot to choose from. This is the reason you will rarely see kills, setups and combos involving Falcon Punch, Ganon U-Tilt, Kirby Hammer etc. Why you won't see people consider using DK down B. It' understandable, but look at other series. Players will use every tool they can and practice to be as efficient as possible. I didn't mean to run down a rabbit hole, and I'm sorry if you read this. I try not to bring these points up in regards to smash. I'm well aware of why the ruleset is what it is, and I'm very appreciative of GimR for all of his hard work to advance the meta, and many other players as well. I just find it... limited at times. I have found some PFC with ness and lucas. Lucas: Use djcz to cancel your footstool jump and continue to combo them with djcz. You can’t buffer a djcz after a footstool like you can with a jump, because the grab button works exactly like your attack button when you footstool someone. You have to djcz right after the footstool animation is over(djcz doesn’t combo until 40 or so on taller characters). Ness: Do a djc magnet to the right or left (doesn’t matter) and b-reverse the magnet. Hold magnet until u get the second hit of magnet and then immediately release it(if you release it too late the opponent will be too far to combo). Now you can combo it into another djc magnet into aerial or you can just up-smash or turn-around down-smash to finish the combo.

If Mega Man’s opponent isn’t in up-tilt kill %, then you should go for PFC. however, even if z-dropped metal blade still doesn’t get them into kill percent since z-dropped Metal blade might only hit twice or so, you can do PFC, throw metal blade downward to get 4 hits or so, drift backwards, get 1 hit of b-air to get a drag down, and finally up tilt. It’ll probably kill midweights at 75-80% or so, which probably wouldn’t kill normally with z-drop up tilt.
