Art's parents had the insight to help Art get started so many years ago, and I am SO thankful, as the beneficiary of their wisdom! We want to give each of our children a strong footing into adulthood.

Congratulations John! I added my kids to my credit card when they were 13 and 15 so at 19 my daughter was able to buy her own car without a co signer and my son is so grateful at 24 he has an almost 800 credit score. It really does help:)

Nothing more to say except Congratulations John. I can relate to everything explained in this video and you are an excellent example to other people. Supportive family are priceless and loads of hard work make home owning possible.

I love John's view on hone decoating. Allowing Mom and Charity to handle it because he's "not good at it and it makes them happy" is an EXCELLENT reason! ❤

Hello Janelle, Art, John and Charity! Congratulations John!🎉 I remember the lawnmower video, I was so impressed at such a young age the boys were already looking out for their future. I hope you have many happy times in your new home John. I hope everyone has a very blessed week!

Unbelievable with the dryer. Scary! My mom told me to never leave the house with the dryer running. It’s engraved in my brain! I won’t even run it and go to bed. And, I just had my dryer vent and the machine taken apart and cleaned inside! Oh, and don’t forget to clean the lint filter after every load! ❤ Wish I could have a clothes line like my mom did. Wait till you see all the “stuff” that comes out of the vent pipe. It would make a good video! Congratulations again, John! 🎉

I've been watching you guys since Lydia was a tiny girl. I thought you are crazy for commiting to such a large family, but what a crew of amazing adults you are turning out. Such a blessing to our world. Good job John. You remind me of a young boy from my neighborhood when I was growing up. He bought his first home at 19 also, in California. He lived at home with mom and rented it out. By age 30 he had multiple properties including an 8 plex. He drove a 1982 Toyota truck he still has, it parked in front of his vacation beach house in pacific grove. He uses it while he is remodeling the house next door he just bought. Most of all he has wonderful, hardworking children who are helping him with the remodel to earn money since dad told them they had to buy there own cars. Good parenting is such a blessing.

Wow! You've been watching for a long time!!! Thank you. Our choices aren't right for everyone, but we love our children and want them to be a blessing to the community. Kudos to that young man...what an amazing accomplishment!

I can relate. I bought my 1st duplex 30 years ago with a tenant in place who's rent pretty much covered principle & interest leaving me with tax & insurance. And maintenance, of course. I was livin' cheap while building equity. I still live in my own duplex, albeit a different duplex.

Thanks for the video. Good job John , I figured you had saved a lot of the money by staying at home ( smart decision) and not renting an apartment.

Thanks for answering the burning questions on John’s New house! I hope him all the best with it! I’m can imagine how much fun you and charity are having decorating and buying items John needs for the house! That’s great that the upstairs in rented saving him lots of money! Will he continue to want tenants if they move out?

One other thing I can add. If you aren’t positive of your income or the way your life will lead. Do not add your children to your credit cards or anything else that will hurt their credit . Learned that from my parents that tried their hardest but had hard times. It hurt me starting out. Not a recommendation for your kids.
