Napakatalinong kaisipan...Maganda po yan at naeempowered ang mga local farmers...Isama na rin po ang plantation ng lemon grass (tanglag) at citronella para sa production ng natural oil....mayaman ang Pinas sa lupa at taniman...Salamat po!

Salamat po sa pag promote sa mga kawayan na tumutubo dito sa ating bansa...magaganda po ang mga furnitures na gawa sa good na kawayan. Matibay, maganda at world class. Uso na po ngayon dito sa Davao ang paggawa ng mga cottages na gawa sa kawayan karamihan sa mga resorts sa mga beaches. Pero ang bamboo industry natin ay nagrereklamo na may mga koreans na gumagawa ng mga ganitong mga bahay dito sa sa atin, i knockdown lng nila d2 tapos ipadala sa Korea at doon na ina assemble. Mahal na po pagdating doon sa kanila...Nawawalan ng opportunity ang mga pinoy bamboo entrepreneurs to export because of this. Kaya parang nanghihina sila.

Isa pang napakalaking negosyo na pwedeng makuha sa kawayan ay ang bamboo clothing. Maraming video dito sa YT na ipinapakita ang bird's eye view at short film sa processing. Kung ito magawa sa Mindanao, napakadaming tao ang magkakaroon nang trabaho dahil tuloy-tuloy ang negosyong iyan. Growers/farmers, harvesters, transport, plant employees, marketing, sales ladies, etc...sana mangyari nga iyan.

i traveled from Davao to Digos while i was in Mindanao and was alarmed how much barren land there was from seemingly excessive bamboo harvest.. i am in no way an activist but there are no environmental standards in south east asia.. anything goes especially when there is money involved.

If this would happen. We farmers from talakag should have opportunities to sell our bamboo compensated to its exact prices. Because the bamboo prices here in talakag is very low prices. We are hoping that our municipality should have give us finances support so that we could continue to farm bamboo.
