Dear Sridharji, Amazing Upanyasam. I really liked your efforts to rationalise the situation of Hiranyakshan’s act of hiding Bhooma Devi inside Ocean. Following your line of thought, it is most likely referring to a part of Bhoomi and may be the resurrection of that part is referring to Mount Everest. As we have learnt in school and college, Mount Everest was actually submerged under the ocean and due to some geo plates colliding under the sea, Mount Everest rose above the Sea Level. This also correlates to your theory that this whole episode has taken place in that region of North, North West of India. Once again, thanks a lot for your service in imparting knowledge to all of us. Pranams.

Please correct me. I think Varaha avatharam is our own Indian continent that moved north around 40 million years ago ( roughly 10 chathur yuga period) thus lifted the Asian continent to form Himalayan range. Initially, as Indian land(continent) was moving north, the sea that was there in the north of India, slowly became marshy land and then suddenly vanished thus creating present young Himalayan range. This is my opinion. Correct me Thanks.
