Thank you so much for posting this video! Your demo is very clear and easy to follow. However, I think there is a mistake in Round 14 which should read : sc,( 12 sc,inc)*4times, sc [58 sts] instead of (11sc , inc) , and also in Round 15 -17, should it read : 58sc [58sts] , please check! Thank you!

HI,I have not used 8ply before but I think you can use the same pattern, just you will a bigger size Pikachu!

I'm confused on the arms, legs etc it says to always chain then for example increase in all 4 stitches then st however u then end up with 9 stitches not 8??? Why do we need to chain on ever row for the arms legs etc

Hi, it should be 8 not 9 sts, ch 1 does not counted as a stitch. I do chain 1 at the beginning to give an initial height for each row, so each row will be aligned nicely and there is no height difference between start and end sts, especially during color changing like the ears. But drawback is it has a visible slip stitch line along your work. For arms it is folded so it is ok. For the body I just do it in spiral way (means no ch 1 at the beginning) so no slip stitch visible.

Which round you wrong? you can use stitch marker to mark the 1st stitch, it helps when counting stitches.

Yes for ears I did slip stitch for each round.

Hi, I did not add washer, the back pad of safety eyes. It is difficult to adjust the eyes position once I put the washer. I used glue to secure the eyes instead.

I m using 5-ply yarn, which is around 2mm thick, 3mm hook. Final size is 9cm(W) x 17cm(H) x 8cm(D). If you are using thinner yarn you may get a smaller size.

Install the eyes between R11 and R12, depends on the eye size, each eye 5 to 6 sts from the centre, I used 14mm safety pins.

Hi, this is not difficult as only single crochet and chains are used :). You can pause the video and count each round, make sure the stitch numbers are correct. You can do it!

You can push settings & choose playback speed, and reduce it ultra slow. Its been helpful for me on hard stitches
