Hello sir, may I ask if my one way continuous slab with only 2 spans, and the area of bay less than 30m², then I cannot use the simplified method as per BS8110 is it? Then what method should I use to calculate the moment and shear of my one way continuous slab? Hope sir will reply me 🥺 because currently I am a student and face this problem in my design project.

Use moment distribution or clapeyron's method

can we use 3 moment equations to solve indeterminate slabs
@abdullahalmahruqi19763 жыл бұрын
It would be much easier if you use the simplified method.

السلام عليكم Sir, Why we add factor safety for self weight of concrete?
@abdullahalmahruqi19763 жыл бұрын
We use a factor of safety for concrete as a material, and also as when calculating the dead load (including self weight of concrete). This is to provide safety against any uncertainties.
@سالمالكلباني-ح6ن3 жыл бұрын
@@abdullahalmahruqi1976 so, what are uncertainties for concrete,there’s no change in density 24kn/m2 ?
