Hi Kendra! First of all, thank you so very much for watching. I get this question a lot. It is a very loose stitch. When you are loom knitting on this loom - with this particular stitch, everything is going to seem really loose-especially if you’re using a #4 worsted or thinner yarn. However, if you will just continue, you will start to see the project as it comes out of the bottom of the loom and everything will have worked its self out. I know it will feel like you are just laying the loops in the ‘ditch’ and that there is no tension at all. I say keep going until you see a few inches of your project coming out of the bottom of the loom. It was only when I used a very bulky yarn that I was able to get really ‘dense’ shawl. However, it does not sound like you are doing anything wrong. Just know that it is a very loose stitch.🌻🧶🌻 And the casting off video is here: Casting Off - or Getting Your Project OFF the Long Loom - Loom Knitting With Wambui Made It kzbin.info/www/bejne/fHKZZ5-LaNqbbpI

I bought some of these looms and had it on my list to start working with them. This week, i began to actually do that. When I read the instructions in the box, it was beyond me. I didn't understand the process. These videos are so helpful and I learned so much. I am well on my way to making my first scarf. Wambui does such an excellent job of breaking it down and making it easy. Her bubbly personality adds to the experience! I will be coming back to learn more and more.

Thank you for using a light colored yarn on a light colored loom. It is so much easier for my eyes to follow your stitches. Other youtube creators don't understand this.
@WambuiMadeIt3 жыл бұрын
Hi Julie! Thank you for watching and I am glad you appreciate the light colored yarn. I must admit that I did not fully understand that at first until it was brought to my attention by some of my subscribers. In fact, I have promised to re-do my very first video where I am introducing loom knitting for the first time on the round loom. I plan to have that up by Monday. I appreciate the kind comment. Have a wonderful weekend!!🌻🌻🧶🌻

@@WambuiMadeIt Oh thank you for replying. Today 12/17/2021 Is my 73rd B-Day. I am having a ball loom knitting. I have been at the craft since the end of 2017. I use your stretchy bind off for my baby blankets of which I have made 3 so and have 2 on the looms now. I use the (New Purple KB Multi-loom 18 sections) of which I have (4). You did the unboxing of this loom which was so much fun to watch. Thank you again and Happy Christmas and a great 2022.

Ms. Wambui: Thank you so much for your clear instructions, spot-on analogies (crossing the street, wrapping a scarf around your neighbor), and encouraging words and tone. My 7 year old daughter and I decided we wanted to learn loom-knitting, and let's just say she left me in the dust...😄 I'm so glad to have found your channel. Now I can catch up with my artsy kid. Thank you for sharing your talent!
