After driving to Hatyai and Songkhla via Danok a couple of months ago, we decided to take another car trip to Thailand, this time using the Wang Kelian, Perlis border instead. Koh Lipe is an island west of Satun province, and the easiest way to get there is by speedboat from Pak Bara Pier.
The boats leave at 11.30am Thai time, so we decided to drive across the border the day before to get there early and also explore the southern tip of this amazing country. The drive itself was relaxing and there was no crowd at Immigrations or Customs.
We checked into a homestay called Baan Suan Tondin which we booked earlier, had a couple of good meals the first day then departed in the morning for Pakbara Pier to our boat. We had also booked our speedboat tickets earlier online.
In this first part, I will show you how our trip went with the kids in tow, and how we ate well at stalls, restaurants and 7-Elevens! We also had the renowned 5 Star Chicken for brunch! Part 2 will be coming soon!

Interesting trip to siam aka Thailand. Something new as crossing the borders. Wah! Now able to see yr family members. 3 kids, yr wife and possible yr bro and in-laws. Anyway! Do enjoy the trip at Ko-Lipe. Behave yourself over there. Hehe. I am joking. 😂

Hahaha this is our first time using the Wang Kelian border as usually we use Bukit Kayu Hitam/ Danok to get to Hatyai. However this is nearer to get to Satun and Ko Lipe. The boat ride is not easy, about 2 hrs I will share in the next video. Hahahaha I very good boy lah hahahaha!!!!

The food for steamboat you guys brought yourself or the lodging sell the raw ingredients?

Nope all supplied by the homestay, run by Muslims, it is all halal food. :)

@@WanderingMunchers most restaurants in South Satun area are halal bro. Even the 5 Star chicken place was run by a Muslim lady. 😄
