Great video! Grew up in Donegal, learned to drive on a 165. Live in Chicago now but spent plenty of nights in Scanlons kilberry years ago!

Scanlons was a great spot years ago. Lots of Donegal people living in the kilberry/gibbstown area now.. Thanks for watching 👍

Great video… very interesting and informative style of presentation, suitable pace and tempo for the target audience. I learned to drive in the mid ‘70s on a late ‘60s 135, I did drive several 165s one similar to yours with the metal cladding instead of the canvas. I’ve a 135 & 188MP needing the same treatment that your 165 got. Looking forward to part 2. Keep up the good work.

Grew up with Massey Ferguson tractors from the early 60s the 35x then on to the 100 series the 165 we had was just as yours except the cab they're very good tractors easy to maintain and repair very good on fuel and would run circles around the John Deere in the mud

Brilliant video 😍. Can't wait to see the cab restoration in particular. I loved those sirocco flexi cabs. They were a lovely looking cab in my opinion 😍

Thanks a million. Yes I love the sirocco cab, quieter than the Duncan cab and you could funnel warm engine air into the cab.. visibility not as good though. We have a new flexi waiting to go on it.

Great video, I did the very same thing with mine, although it took me 5 years 🤦♂️ . I’m not a trained mechanic so had to get help with some things like setting hydraulics, clutch etc. One mistake I made was putting cheaper parts in, instead of the Massey parts and had to do them bits again. But it was a good learning experience. Good luck with it, looking forward to seeing it finished. Will it go back to work or will it be a show tractor?

Thanks. It will be going straight back to work for the winter..

Great video ye are doing a great job, did you have to touch engine at all
@AgrimotiveFarmMachinery Жыл бұрын
Thanks. No, we didn't need to touch it. We done a compression test and oil pressure check some time back and it was all good. Just replaced the lift pump and serviced the engine.
