My Testimony
I struggled with food and food issues for half of my life. There were periods of anorexia and bulimia throughout high school and college. I was chained by the cycle of starvation and binging all through adulthood. I wasn't satisfied with the person who stared back at me in the mirror, believing the lie that I was unlovable unless I was 130lbs or less. Constantly struggling with my worth, identity, body and body image. Obsessed with food, exercise, calories, and the scale, Jesus finally said it was time. Time to give Him control of my diet, body, and ultimately the desires of my heart. Time to trust Him with this temporary vessel and trust His plan for my body was much better than my own. I didn't want behavior modification, I wanted heart transformation. Total freedom from the obsession, shame, guilt, and condemnation that came with food, my body, and identity. I wanted transformation from the inside out and total healing. That's exactly what I got. Jesus Christ really does heal and set you free if you let Him get to the root and core of your being. I no longer struggle with food or body image. I don't manage my issue and keep it under control-I am totally set free and made new. Jesus can do it for you too. Surrender, trust, and obey Him today. Food The Idol
