This is the first lecture from Fr. Ron Rolheiser's lecture series "Simply Being Good-Hearted is Not Enough: A Spirituality of Charity, Justice, and Prophecy," which was delivered at Oblate School of Theology in September of 2017.
Our communities, civil and church, have never been more divided about what constitutes charity, justice, and prophecy. Faith issues and moral issues have never been more divisive.
Today the sincere are being divided from the sincere. What is charity? What is justice? What is prophecy? What is taught in scripture and what is the Church’s rich tradition on charity, social justice, and prophecy? A spirituality of charity, justice, and prophecy.
