Wow, exactly what I’ve been looking for a shawl that covers over the shoulders and won’t fall off like triangle shawls! I can’t wait to share this pattern with my friend 🤩🙃😊

Hey Craig! I love your tutorials! I was wondering if you thought I could complete this pattern (yarn amount wise lol) with a mandala bonus bundle which is like 1100 yds of a 3 weight, or 2 shadow cotton kings which is like 1700 yds of a sport weight. I’m realllly bad at guesstimating and I’m trying to actually complete projects with the yarn I have instead of always needing one or a few more skeins to finish a project lollzzzz.

How do you keep the colorway stripes even each row? It just works up like that ?
@karenh28904 жыл бұрын
Usually it's been color-controlled. So the yarn is cut off at the end of a row and a new yarn started. Or you can just go along and let the colors fall wherever they do naturally.

I so much would like to make a poncho with this pattern , but have no idea how to start. Most of the time i start with a chain of 100 chains and close it. Then crochet a pattern with 4 increases , front, back, and two shoulders. But with this pattern i have no idea how to start. Can you help fiber spider?
@nancystrand19206 жыл бұрын
hi, I like to crochet a blanket instead how would I do this?thank you
@francesmartinez15766 жыл бұрын
Hi, if you like the shape of this, just keep going. Use like 6 cakes of yarn, it be large for a blanket with a uniqueness shape, thats an awsome idea.........thanks. just think of the top laying across your pillows. And the beautiful shape design hanging over over the sides draping down the bed or back of sofa. Oh yes. Just use 6 skeins or more......
@amandah48346 жыл бұрын
Frances Martinez lovely idea Frances I think I will go with it thank you 😊
@purpleiguana2086 жыл бұрын
Hi, Nancy! When I worked up the shawl, I noticed that it was about 2/3 of a hexagon in shape. If you want to make a blanket instead of a shawl, I would say to begin with 6dc and 6 ch2 spaces, join with slip stitch, then work as FiberSpider shows, except you would work in the round instead of turning after every row. Instead of having four "quadrants," you will have 6 sections, but the pattern and repeats should all work out the same. I will say that I have NOT made this pattern in the round as a blanket, and I am not 100% if it will lay perfectly flat. But that would be my best advice to turn this shawl into a blanket.

Caron yarn in general is pretty, makes a good color gradient in shawls. But, from time to time in the skein there is not a color gradient, there is a knot joining one color to the next!! Disappointing, considering how expensive Caron yarn is.
