Part 1: Try simple lettering in your journal

I started out with no drawing or lettering skills whatsoever (apart from drawing bubble letters at school) but a creative streak and a willingness to learn. If you don't try to go too hard too fast, you can have beautiful spreads in your journal that will help you to build confidence and the skills to try more advanced designs down the line.
This video is part one of a new series, and will explain how to draw simple letters that don't end up unevenly spread across your page, or different sizes, or smudged. I add some simple design elements and talk about things to think about when laying them out too.

In Part 2 I will show you a simple weekly layout where we will try a different style of lettering with a simple theme and design element that you can either draw or use paper cutouts to create.
