If you click "SHOW MORE" in the description above your be able to see Links to the Tools 🔧🔨🔧 I use. Also Clickable Chapters📋 📙 throughout the video and other Links 🎬 that may be of interest. I've had a few viewers request where they can buy the tools they see in some of my videos but it's not very clear that the "SHOW MORE" tab has a lot of information in that may be of interest. Admittedly the amazon links are associated with me and I would earn a small commission which helps towards keeping the channel funded.

That's a great video you are the best 👌. I think I got the 2 back coolant hose wrong to .😂 😂😂 Thermostat got arrow but the the hose going to the heater they are almost same how I can find out did I put them wrong in Thermostat . (3008 1.6 vti )
@CoatsandGaiters Жыл бұрын
Thank you. The one on the arrow should have the air bleed screw on. Air always needs to be released from the highest point.

@CoatsandGaiters Hi , thank you . I just check it but I can't post photo here I have arrow on the thermostat also I is arrow on 1 of the hose which both are same direction but again is not the hose which have bleed valve. The hose with the bleed valve is connected to the lower exit of the thermostat, so I'm completely confused Right now why will be a arrow on the hose running same direction with the arrow on the thermostat . Did I put them wrong everything seem to work OK.

Thank you I'm still not sure . Anyway what will happen if they are in wrong place the car don't have any problems us they are. Heather works . . Crazy peugeot 😂 .
@CoatsandGaiters Жыл бұрын
I think we have to conclude the hoses are meant to be that way. Peugeot don't show any decent complete photo's but all 3 sources can't be wrong. Maybe the heat exchanger is piped inside in a weird way and that what I thought was wrong isn't wrong. I'd put it down to me being wrong.@@ventsislavivanov4542

Got quoted A$2200 for this job. Did the pump myself, but whole engine has to be tilted. Now thermostats turn, looks simpler than the water pump, unless I have to change the pipe from pump to thermo ( than manifold has to come off)

In my car the main pipe from the water pump is leaking. I want to go cheap and change only the rubber sealant at the end, that keeps it tightly connected to the water pump. I am not sure if it will work . I need to remove the pipe from the other end to do that. The worst thing is that you dont have a lot of space to do that. I hope that for my citroen c5 there is going to be enough space as this car has a big bonnet and the enging has more space. Has anybody done this job in a citroen c5? By the way thank you very very much for the series on the prince engine. They are very usefull.

Good to hear the videos are helping. Not the easiest of engines to work on.
@simonshurety387010 ай бұрын
I feel like the main pipe from the water pump should be better secured somehow rather than just being a push fit and wedged in at the other end by the thermostat housing.

All about maximum profit. Will this design last the warranty? if so it's a pass I assume.

How the flying duck got this contraption 8 consecutive engine of the year awards?! 😬😬

It's always about who you know lol. I bet the people that gave the awards got paid handsomely on the quiet.

That's a pig of a job with the engine in the car. The hose clip that snaps is a bugger. Dremelled it off it has made a slight hole.in the pipe ut looks like plenty of flex on it to cut abit off.
@CoatsandGaiters5 ай бұрын
Not an easy engine to work on is it.
@Wilcko795 ай бұрын
@CoatsandGaiters not at all waiting for the part to arrive decided to take apart to match the new part. Put all the sensors back in so 8 don't forget where they all go since I've got to wait a few days for delivery I'm hoping it goes back together fine. Do you use the bleed valve with the resvoir cap on and engine on?
@CoatsandGaiters5 ай бұрын
@@Wilcko79 You talking about the little bleed valve on the thermostat housing? I have reservoir cap off and engine off otherwise the cap would cause a vacuum and prevent the coolant flowing out with the air.
