Nice video. One doubt though, why an Administrative Template is needed? Can't the SCCM agent be deployed only with Software Settings configs?

Following this accidentally messed with my other setup that I was doing from your future Playlist from 2022 Software Center just loads and never shows anything anymore. Will I need to redo everything? I removed the policy but It appears that it is using an older version of Software center now. I'm probably mixing versions here. The client is weird now.

This is GPO deployment and always be careful what you do with GPO. What do you mean “messed up”? Software Center not loading is not cause by GPO. No logic behind this.

If Software Center works by push install or manual install, there is no reason why it wouldn’t load with GPO install. Unless you configured it incorrectly.

@@TekNexSolutions I re imaged the machine and gpo install performed nominally. All apologies. I believe it's because I did a terrible job on the manual uninstall leaving a fragmented application behind.

Hi TekNex, i have a question. you paste the command "cmmsetup.exe /mp:TEKNEX..." on the rule "Configure Configuration Manager Client Deployment Settings". But you copie the cmmsetup.msi on the share. How the command can be pass ?

Mino ccmsetup.msi installs ccmsetup.exe which then used by the command with specified switches.

Hi Jay Singh, I have followed your videos and everything working fine, but I had a small doubt. in this video, you have created a separate shared drive /Applications/CCMsetup for providing in GPO. my question is why can't we use the "\\SCCM server path\SMS_SCP\bin\i386", where the original file exists, as those folders, are also shared across the domain?

Hi Vinod, It would be a lot easier if that was an option. Standard users cannot access that path, this is why we use dedicated file share.

TekNex Solutions one last question, if a standard user log in for the 1st time, and that user donot have administrator preveliges , does the client application CMS setup will install or not through GPO ?

TekNex Solutions I will place the client setup in shared folder and I will login as a new standard user On a newly installed vm, If I log in a standard user, will the gpo will install client setup .!

GPO will install the client when you login with any standard user.
