I have a question. How difficult is learning tigrinya for amharic speakers? I would love to learn!

Hi, In my opinion, it isn't that hard. The two languages share a big percentage of common vocabulary and they use the same script. The only difficulty I often notice is the pronunciation and that can be handled through practice! To give you an idea, I was able to communicate in Amharic within about 8 months.... but I still haven't perfected it yet. All the best!
Very good video. 1 thing: Fish is both singular and plural. 1 fish. 30 fish. Fishes is uncommon to say.

Thanks a lot for your comment! The plural of fish is indeed fish, but in this case I used it as in *different species of them,* which would be *fishes* I think😉

But hey, I still don't know how the native speakers would say this (mine is only from the books😁). Please let me know if that is not the case!

No problem. I'm English speaker learning Tigrinya. Fishes is uncommon to say for us. All of my Tigrinya learning is from books and my mom. Your videos are a great help.

I am not agree with that sentence. The man in the car. Where is the verb. I think The man who is in the car. This is the correct sentence.

Yes you are right Tesfagabr, it is just a part of a sentence (a phrase) not a complete sentence. This part is written to show the preposition *in* and it's relation with *the man*
