just finished installing the radiator in my 06 300 c. I studied your videos first but still had your video on stand by when I needed to recap on a step. Because of your videos, it could have not went any smoother. For anyone who is curious on how to bleed the cooling system after the radiator install,please read below: 1) after you have installed the radiator and with the car off, open the radiator cap and completely remove bleed screw from water pump housing. You will need an allen rench to remove the drain plug. 2) place a drip pan under car and fill the resivour with 50/50 coolant until you reach the max line on your resivour. 3) Then start car and put your heater on max. keep filling coolant until you notice a good stream of coolant coming out of the bleed plug hole. then place bleed screw back into the housing and cap your coolant to the max line. close resivour cap and drive car for 10-15 mins. make sure to look at temp gauge just in case and pull over if it shows super hot. 4) let car cool for about an hour and refill coolant to max line. 5) for the next 2-3 days open your resivour cap daily before you start your car for the first time. You will notice that some days it will require some more fluid. try to keep it in between the min and max lines. hope this helps you guys out and again, thanks dave for thr videos. I owe you big time man.

Awesome video! About time someone took their time to do it right! I've watched literally thousands of these and this one is the best one so far!! He took his time, explained everything in detail and went above and beyond taking off the bumper cover just to show where the A/C condenser bolts were. 5 star 2 thumbs up!! From mechanic to mechanic this was a great job!

I've watched a lot of repair videos on KZbin and yours are among the best there are. Clear, concise, great camera work, no dead air, just enough explanation to get the job done. I just had my cooling fans explode and blow a hole in my radiator. If I can't get Dodge to fix it for free (or cheap), I'll be doing this project, but you've made the steps it exceptionally straightforward. Greatly appreciate the work!

Great tutorial David cheers.. Just like to add to others, the plastic push buttons that hold the panels. There are two types, some which have a button to pull on and some that look flat. referring to the flat looking ones, If the centre is pushed all the way in, they unscrew with a flat head screw driver, (if you lucky,) if not you’ll need to drill them out or force them out pending on space.. Rad out in apx 45min.. great job David thanks again

Just doing my Hemi radiator here in the UK and might be worth mentioning that the bolts that hold the radiator and condenser together, if they have corroded the nut on the back will just spin, because the nut is held by a plastic piece that is not strong enough, SO THE BOLT AND NUT SPIN TOGETHER, so I had to cut the radiator brackets off (luckily it's no good anyway). Great videos as always :)

Dave, you rock man and thank you for the detailed video on removal and reinstalling the radiator on a 2006 300 C. I do have a couple questions which I hope you can help answer. When reinstalling the fluid, does the system need to be bled and if so how do you do that or do you have a video on that? And, I'm thinking about replacing the thermostat. Are the two bolts mounted on the thermostat housing the only two bolts holding the thermostat housing and thermostat in place? Again, thanks man for the video on the radiator and please let me know if you have any tips or videos on the thermostat (R & R) and if the system need to be bled.

My dear brother, I have the honor to follow you from Iraq. I have a 2008 Chrysler C300, the engine size is 3.500. I have problems with the transmission. When I move in the second tiger, a crackling sound, and then it moves normally. Note that this is the third transmission I have changed.

Great tutorial. What are the best jack/stands to use to get underneath my Chrysler 300? Is there a tutorial anywhere?

I used ramps with chunks of 2x8 as a lead-in to keep the car from scraping on them.

Always cool to hear from women in the field. Too many people take too much stuff off to get the radiator out. The hardest would be if it had a single speed fan and even then its not that much harder. Thanks for the comment. Make sure to subscribe and check out my other videos as well.

Wow! No one does it like you do bro. Taking the whole bumper cover off to show detail? Mind blown! Im missing the top radiator covers by the hood latch. Do those make a difference? Also I have an 06 srt8. Is the severe duty 2 a must? I think they relaced the radiator before i purchased used and put a cheaper radiator and in the hot texas 100 plus heat in traffic the car gets a little warmer than i like. Along with the ac. Doesnt over heat. But the ac gets noticeably warmer.

great video was wondering after you instal the knew radiator do you need to bleed the system
@MotorCityMechanic
@MotorCityMechanic 8 жыл бұрын
+Darryl Woodson Morning, Thanks for the kind words. Yes you do need to bleed the system. The way that I recommend is with the engine off.....remove the radiator cap and open the coolant bleed screw. each engine has it in a different location. Once open....start adding your coolant/water 50-50 mix to the coolant bottle until it starts to come out the bleed screw. Then tighten the screw and adjust the level in the coolant bottle. Then I recommend driving it until the temp gets to about half way on the gauge and then let it cool off again. Then check the level in the bottle and add if needed. Then you should be good to go. Thanks for the question and make sure to subscribe. Wish you a safe and merry Christmas
