Glenn, I have always admired your work, regardless of content or context; You are one of the guys through the years that has always been an inspiration for quality work. Hearing you express some dissatisfaction with your figure painting gives me hope. You have a new subscriber, thank you.

Glenn, again you show how to get through and navigate around situations that come up with figures. This is from being a Master Modeler. Always love the tips you give to your followers. Looking forward to the foam work in the future.

I know I would lack the patience to get camo right on trousers on the guy dressed in tan. This is some fine work.

I totally get you regarding figure painting. Some of my work looks awesome, others not so good. I lack a 'system' with figure painting, especially the faces and hands. But I keep on trying. Like your work, glad I found your channel, Jim 👍

Thanks so much for that comment! You know I tell people it’s hard to be a master at both armor and figure painting. It seems that one is more prevalent than the other and we end up becoming a figure painter or an armor builder. As you can see the really good figure painters like Calvin are not doing armor they spend more time on one figure Like we spend more time on the kit. That’s why I’m trying to always figure out a way to make figure painting easier but really it’s just one of those things. It’s just gonna take some work and I have to put the time in. Good luck with your endeavors!

@@ArmorModelsbyGlennBartolotti You are very welcome sir! It's guys like Night Shift that I marvel at because he makes awesome vehicles, figures and dioramas. I have moved toward resin figures because of the sharp details that make painting them easier than plastic. The figures Tamiya provided in the Achilles TD kit are possibly the best I have seen in plastic injection molding. Super sharp detail, made painting them very easy.

Great video Glenn. I don't understand Miniart when it comes to figures. They have such great model kits but their figures just are not that good at all. Flash is horrible and mold seams are in the worst possible places.

Glenn, I too struggle with my figure painting. I call it my "weakest Link". Building 1/35th scale model Tanks, I do very well. I have watched tutorial after tutorials of individuals painting 1/35th scale figures and (they make it seem so easy) I still just can't achieve a certain look. I have to get a "happy medium" if you will with my figure painting.
