Hey AJ, great video, congrats. Love the in depth analysis. I'm researching for myself in that kind of detail, too and am quite on the same page with you. But there are two mods I'd like to hear your opinion on: 1. A baffle for the oilpan regardless of the powerstage to prevent oil starvation (e.g. Lamspeed) and 2. A block guard from 500HP onwards.

Please Help me would be great Thank you

Hello Peter, thankyou for your message. Quick reply 2* camber in front. Full reply: at that lowering point you will already be in negative camber gain given the geometry of stock hub and arm assembly. This will not perform so well. I would also not use the spacers, as it will make your car even softer and the soft stock dampers already have a reduced travel because of lowering. The car will feel more stable up to 80% driving, but then will become sluggish in transitions and it will be difficult to recover realignments after drifts over second gear

Thank you for your fast answer 2 in Front OK And in rear ? I understand that and thought the Same , but i dont want to Break any world records or so and im enjoying more the optic from the Car Later than the Last Performance If you understand I complete understand what you mean but i still wanted in my Case optic > Performance

Thanks for putting so many things together. Information on the proper gr yaris builds are so hard to find. Forums are hard to search and scattered. Workshops do not show complete info to invite you to come to them. Many manufacturers just hyping on GR Yaris without proper development.

Hi AJ , so there is a good video on the Corolla head and valves vs Yari and there is basically no difference , and yes my tuner did ease the boost in especially for this you mentioned, I understand on the R35 GTRs this is also a big factor when tuning them, they bend rods on stock turbos Thanks for the great video

Cheers Eric: Toyota says that the exhaust valves are bigger. I am aware of that video, but it would be strange for OEM to state something unreal…

Hi, I've just seen this and thanks for the video. My initial thought was wondering why you had created your own tuning stages? Stage 3 would be considered a fully forged/ built engine, and stage 4 would be an entire engine swap to a race unit? I know you have a lot to cover in this video, however you seemed specifically interested in off the shelf parts rather than tuning. A closed deck conversion would normally be considered vital when upgrading to forged components - along with a block bore/hone. Spark Plug temperature levels need changing at this point. Also something to include would be the issue of oil starvation and how it can be prevented with a baffled sump or dry sump conversion. Regarding suspension, the powerflex inserts would be a bare minimum after 450bhp, then specific mounts are needed. At this power level the stock gearbox will begin to fail along with the transfer case. With a sequential gearbox, a twin plate clutch is essential as single plate will fail under WOT gear changes. Brilliant video and I just wanted to add this so people who are serious about taking the GRY to a high level will know what's expected as the minimum 🤙
@PIRASMotorsport10 ай бұрын
Hi Pete, The stages are divided because in this way it is more clear what to get for the application specific engine. The closed deck is something I will talk about later, as things are not so clear to me still. Clutch is told, and its clear in my advice. Many things I state are to be concurred with each one’s tuner, as I say, because I don’t specifically nominate every product. Oil starvation, again, I will talk about but truth is that it’s not major for most and that the only solution out there, from Lamspeed, doesn’t look so great to me. Videos on brakes and suspension both I have already done and I will do new soon, difficult to get all the parts quickly. Doing my best!

Love all your videos, but dont want ECU remap, so is it possible to add kelford cams. HJS Downpipe and larger oil and inetrcooler only? as wanted reliability and looking for 330 hp or so. Thanks and how we can contact you for the air vents?
@PIRASMotorsport10 ай бұрын
Thankyou! Yes, what you say is correct and the car should be very reliable provided you map at an EcuTek dealer and maintain it well. Please contact me at adriano.piras1@gmail.com

What would you say is a good option for tunning my engine if i dont have acces to a tunner in my city?
@PIRASMotorsport9 ай бұрын
At the moment it is possible to get remote tuning from Ecutek dealerships: they will provide you with an OBD dongle and its done online! ACME and Litchfield are both dealers
@Faces98A9 ай бұрын
@@PIRASMotorsport Thanks! I just found out about this a couple of days before reading your response and already got in contact with Litchfield, I think it’s the best and most versatile way of tunning, however I’ll upgrade some other things before, I just ordered a set of Öhlins… and they ain’t cheap!

@@PIRASMotorsport unfortunately I hadn’t watch that video, you make really good points, but in my case: I wanted something I I could use mostly on the street, and it all came down to ride hight, there are a lot of speed bumps in my city, big ones! I was going to get KW but those lower the car at least 25 mm, winch would make my car imposible to drive, and ohlins lower it at least 5 mm, what would you say could have been a better option for me? I really need something close to the stock ride height

I've added small airtec cooling duct for rear diff and for stock power and tyres there were no issues with diff even in 38 air track day. (Brake rotors curved however ;) ) But i would suggest diff cooling update for any track use on semi slicks as mandatory.
@PIRASMotorsport10 ай бұрын
@Kirtanus did you see and difference st all with the diff air cooler?
@Kirtanus10 ай бұрын
@@PIRASMotorsporti really installed it before my first track use so sadly can't compare. But last track day I was pushing quite hard with long sessions and no diff issues. Probably it also affected by my aggressive geometry. With negative toe at the rear the car rotates easily under power, leaving less pressure on the rear diff.

Max Transmission temperature in 38 air stress track day - 115 degrees In 14 air last week - 93 degrees. This is a gearbox sensor. Haven't found a dedicated one for the rear diff...
